its a possibilty the tube on the column is broke, or the bottom bolts are loose. usually the mpls doesnt need adjusted- Double-S-Diesel

just make shure they are rated for diesel, or get the teflon braided ones like whats on it, most hydraulic shops have that also.- Double-S-Diesel

Time to go through the engine, questions and concerns though.
if the motor is out Id do the front cover gaskets and o rings, along with the others rich said, also oil cooler, and exhaust manifold gaskets. dont forget the hpop rail plugs.- Double-S-Diesel

My "New" Airtex fuel pump...... A question

Would this be a suitable filter?

Fuel pressure dropping
do you have a filter before the pump, sounds like there is air getting in the line , or the regulator is bad. the airtex pump is capapble of supplying fuel had the same pump on the 96, same on the 99 and same is on my 03. does it loose pressure cold or only when warm?- Double-S-Diesel

Air bag questions
Ron when I did mine,on the SD I had the same problem. I moved the reese rail supports to the other side and made brackets to fit existing holes. But in researching, others had welded the air bag mount to the reeses rail bracket, and made a spacer to space the front out.- Double-S-Diesel

The 99 is smoking again.. Why?!?!
with the dead head fuel system you need the check valves, they keep the injector pulses from blowing the filter out. if you do the regulated return then they cane be modified or eliminated. the stock lines dont bend really well. whe I have done the regulated retrn or my custon setup on the...- Double-S-Diesel
