So what did you do with your truck today?

Also - New flex plate is bolted in, transmission is mounted up, just waiting out the rain to get the top two bolts in before I tighten the torque converter down. Then I just have to bolt in the drive shaft carrier bearing and the drive shaft and Ole Pearly Edwards is back on the road!

So what did you do with your truck today?

See ive been going to the starbucks around my area for years and ive never seen the baristas do that. Something to keep in mind though is that the starbucks at airports arent starbucks, theyre just some franchise person paying starbucks to sell their coffee and their logos. The actual starbucks...

    Cleaning out the radiator

I really want to try the vinegar flush. I can get several gallons of that from restaurant supply depots for darn near nuthin, and its not damaging to the environment? Sign me up! I'll run 10 gallons of that thru my system no problem! I wonder though, can you fill your system with straight...

So what did you do with your truck today?

Yeah, although supposedly the "HS" that was used with the 460 is set at 2000rpm and "supposedly" the diesel TC was set at 1800rpm so who knows how much that would really change how it operates. Its NOS so i'll hang on to it as a just in case backup.

    Cleaning out the radiator

Interesting, yeah not sure I would trust that either with such an old system. The stuff I flushed thru didnt do a whole lot, burned up 5 bottles and 25 or so gallons of distilled water. The truck has over 200k on it and didnt have the right coolant in it when I got it so who knows how it was...

So what did you do with your truck today?

Well the TC that is in there has a 2013 install date on it and looks like it might be an ATS unit, the name is kind of rubbed off so its hard to tell but I decided to leave it in there. The new TC that I have is a high stall version also so I am not even sure I will end up using it.

Dont get mad, spiked lug nuts

Depends on how big the package would be, a large flat rate box is 21.99$ which I would be fine with anyways. I will send you a PM and sort out the details.

So what did you do with your truck today?

My sister and her husband live just outside of Eugene. Absolutely serene landscape and the coast reminds me of Ireland.

So what did you do with your truck today?

Yanked the original flexplate out of my superduty and installed a new one. Yeaaahh those teeth look like they have 205k on them... probably wouldnt stand up to my new powermaster starter very long. Also fabricating a new exhaust system, 4" ID, I cut halfway in where the two collector pipes come...

Dont get mad, spiked lug nuts

The truck actually has simulators on the front, not sure if they make them for the rear but I will look into simulator spikes as well.

So what did you do with your truck today?

Wont have a truck left where i'm from if you dont coat the underside with something. My coworker lost his 2009 Toyota Tundra with 62K on it to frame rot.

So what did you do with your truck today?

Yeah looks like someone didnt prep their metal properly and just sprayed a coating over rusted metal. I scrub mine with brushes, blast it with air, clean with a solvent, then rust reform it, prime, enamel coat, then undercoat. Havent had rust come thru that yet.

So what did you do with your truck today?

Installed a new FIPL and Powermaster starter on Pearly. Did alot of clean up under the truck, scrubbed the frame and other areas and coated them in plastidip. Found that the flexplate is chewed to pieces and most of the teeth are half chewed off on account of the starter only having 1 bolt...

Truck starting issues, not the usual

Ill look into it. Supposedly this transmission was rebuilt in 2013 (has a faded rebuild tag on it) and the truck has only had a few thousand miles put on it since then. Was bought at auction in NC at some point with 19X,XXX on it, only just crested 200K, spent that time in a quarry and was...

    Stuck FIPL

Hey all, So I just replaced the FIPL on my 94 superduty. The larger torx screws were jammed in there pretty tight and I ended up break a 1/4" ratchet a cheap T27 torx drive bit and a T27 Torx L key. Barely managed to extract the screw using a 3/8" ratchet with a 1/4" adapter and a Wiha brand...

    Front Braided Lines

So mine do have a "T" inside the frame. The line comes down from the master to the "T" inside the frame on the driver side, then branch to the caliper on the DS and over to the PS. Rear goes to the T junction, again inside the frame, then branch from that to the calipers on the wheels. The...

Truck starting issues, not the usual

I have a new flexplate coming tomorrow I think, another 120$ down. Nice tips on securing the TC and drive shaft, i'll do that. Although I wonder if I should replace the TC with this NIB Dayco TC I picked up. Guess we'll see. Trucks a superduty so it doesnt have a transfer case and fortunately...

Truck starting issues, not the usual

So my "new" F-Superduty has this intermittent issue where the starter seemed to be not engage fully sometimes, causing it to make that horrific wine as the teeth spin by without engaging the flexplate. Starter looked old so I bought a new powermaster unit and installed it yesterday. Found that...

Long shot, E4OD Flex Plate in CT

Kind of a long shot but is there anyone in CT who has a Flex plate laying around for an E4OD? Specifically for a 7.3 N/A IDI? I dont know if the turbo ones or the 460 ones are actually different.

    Front Braided Lines

Yeah really odd. I have one vehicle with the RABS module and one with hydroboost but neither have that. I am looking at replacing all of my soft lines on my superduty, hence the interest. I cant for the life of me figure out the purpose of that extra line.
  24. ISPKI

    Front Braided Lines

What is the purpose of the "T" line? Is that unique to certain years? My 94 F250 and my 94 Superduty dont have that T joint and I am looking at doing new lines all around on the superduty.

Dont get mad, spiked lug nuts

Got it, so this is my rear, has the big bell spacer under it and im not sure where to find a longer sealed or spiked version or if there is a cap that can be put over these. I dont like the idea of the stud threads being exposed all the time.
