Right but from what ive read, neither LED or Filament bulb behave as simply as that. Filament bulbs have zero resistance (I think) until current is applied of a certain level. So ive done yet more research on the issue and it isnt stacking up, the TCM should be able to send a signal thru either the LED or the filament. Maybe it is sending a signal out at all times and it does NOT want to see the signal complete it's circuit until the brake lights are applied. If the...- ISPKI

Thats crazy. Something as critical as the transmission function should be on it's own circuit. Does anyone have any idea what the circuit resistance should be? My truck had a fiberglass utility body on it and the circuit has been heavily modified. I have it cleaned up really well with...- ISPKI

Heh, I was actually going to mount lights around my rear bumper setup since it houses my crane and outrigger and sticks out quite a couple feet from the rear of the bed. Cant tell you how many times ive dinged my knee on the corners of that thing working around the truck at night. More underbed...- ISPKI

It will stay locked as long as I keep the throttle past a certain point and it will unlock the moment I let the throttle up past that point, feels like 50%. ill do that and report back.- ISPKI

Looking thru the oil dispenser bottles and referencing power service's instructions, it looks like maximum cetane boost is achieved at 12oz additive to 20 gallons of fuel. Yeah I am extremely skeptical of any soft hose or seal on these engines since I pulled the "old" return soft lines off my old truck and the insides were eaten away and had deposited the residue in my fuel tank. Basically, anything soft that doesnt specifically say it's material so I can...- ISPKI

I had set it originally to nominal voltage but it felt like it was shifting too early, I couldnt hit 3k RPM unless I had the pedal on the floor, so I tweaked it up slightly towards one end of the tolerance which brought the shift point up somewhat. Yep. The thing is, is there a downside for the fuel system if you put more than the recommended volume additive into the fuel? It was my understanding that it just wastes additive but there is no "too much" for these.- ISPKI

Heres another idea. This is an oil dispenser for a milling machine. One could be made to hold a specific volume of fluid. The peg on top is a flow stopper. Well thats the issue in that fuel containers and lines rated for gasoline dont hold up to diesel. Modern biodiesel is shown to be highly corrosive to gasoline rated materials. Buna-N seals for example are fine for gasoline but get chewed up rather quickly from diesel, hence why the valves and...- ISPKI

That is something I was pondering about. I was thinking I could do a time study just to see how much volume comes thru over X period of time but then there would be a concern at lower temps when the additive would likely thicken slightly, plus different additives will likely flow differently...- ISPKI

Well heres a mockup of what im thinking. The housing is 1/16" 304 while all of the fittings attached to the tank are stainless, either 303 or 316 and are welded to the tank. Yeah the auto parts guys that I go to said the same thing. They actually have a funnel that screws onto the bottle to make sure it doesnt drip. costs about 1.75$ but then I still have to carry around the jug and the funnel.
