Long the maker of TruCool is a Ford supplier. TruCool Max is a 4R100 V10 cooler without the Ford brackets.
Long's quality is much better than Dorman. But for the price it isn't a bad deal.
The Dorman part should be set up for 1/2" lines. Seeing how it is for a 5R110 tranny
The issue is electrical. Either the solenoid pack isn't getting power, or its dead.
See OLDBULLS post for references. If the solenoid pack connector it soaked with ATF, it's shot. No further testing needed. If not, check for power and solenoid operation.
FSuperduty is the same as any other big block or diesel E4OD. I would price it as a good core. $800 to a $1000 clams max with papers. Because it was "rebuilt" really doesn't mean a lot with out test driving the unit.
I choose the gears in all my autos. Yank the gear selector to any position I want. :rotflmao
Best part, my leg never get tired from that third pedal thats always in the way. :D
Go with a lower stall.
Using a lower stall converter will take advantage of the low end torque of a diesel.
RacerX makes a decent priced four stud converter that will work well with your 7.3.
Check the converter shaft for scoring. If there is any scoring there is a good chance the pump is damaged. No scoring, replace both seals. This means you got lucky.:D
Always remove the converter with the tranny. This will prevent the pump from getting damaged.
#6 If you want to use a 4R100 go with a stand alone controller. PCS makes a very good TCM.
Another option which would be cheaper is build your E4OD with some 4R100 parts. Use GearHead tunes with the Hydra chip and you should be good to go.
Always remove the converter with the tranny. Unbolt the converter first. Then remove the tranny.
If you leave the converter attached to the flexplate. You will damage the pump when removing the tranny..
You can ignore the 0603 code. This is because the batteries were disconnected.
Even with the other two codes. Check the wire harness for damage. I would lean towards an HPOP issue.
OD OFF light flashing if so scan it. Don't start changing parts before you scan it.
Delayed reverse is common with the E4OD. Low boost pressure, sticking boost valve, or warn frictions can cause this issue.
When you changed the fluid. What did you find in the pan?? A fuzzy...
