I use good sharp flush cutting pliers. Grab the end of the pin, give it a gentle twist and pull it out. Ford has a special tool for removing the pin. Trying to find that tool is harder than pulling the pin.LOL
When you install the pin, drive it just below the pan rail. Do not drive it all...
Only the diesel version had the diode. Gas still had the earlier E4OD drum.
The fix for the diesel version is to use a E4OD drum. They should have never played with that Mechanical Diode to begin with.
Stand alone controllers are nice. You can make the auto shift at any point you want.
You will need a tach,VSS, and TPS signal. You have that already. So it would a matter of replacing the stock TCM with a new aftermarket unit.
The rusty part is the early Flex/Flywheel. Used on C6 and E4OD.
The stamped flywheel is a 93 year change. It can be found on N/A 7.3 and turbo version on this engine. It can be used with a C6.
Code 14 doesn't apply. Code 67 does. Code 67 is a MLPS code for a failing sensor. Either voltage is out of range or out of adjustment. You have the marks lined up. The sensor could be bad. Check the wiring to the connector.
Because you have codes the TCM has power. need to check that.
The range sensor doesn't need any programming. Set it, then plug it in.
I would replace the TPS because its old.
Check the TCM for power. The TCM relay is under the hood.
I usually would say this first. Check for codes.
Running a separate ground to the wiper motor has helped some.
The gap (depth) setting is for all T444E PSD engines. Most people myself included just stuff a new sensor in the hole and call it good.:D
Get the codes pulled. PTO and non PTO trannys are interchangeable. A flashing OD OFF light is the PCM telling you that there are issues that needs to be fixed.
