Pro Diesels Reman Engines

Banks turbo on 7.3
My guess is you have the banks turbo named the sidewinder and its wastegated so. If this is so, you just use a 5/16 socket to remove the air filter from the aluminum curved piece near the back of the engine. Then lift off the filter. Electri Lift pump for 90cc?
That pump works fine for our engines. Please remember nearly 80% of the fuel getting to the injection pump is returned as both lube and cooling for the injection pump and injectors..- icanfixall

Blocked up racor filter
Glad you "fixed it"... How long have you had this rig with the 96 filter on it? Some owners go by mileage when changing fuel filters and others go by months. Set up a change schedule and stick to it for best results.I'm surprised the dash filter light didn't light up.- icanfixall

Sorry you are having a continued leak issue. Might try this next time you remove the cooler. If you know for sure the gaskets from heads to block are the leakers just lap the headers. Might try any wrap on heater blanket like some use on fuel filters or oil pans. But as suggested already you probably should look into a rebuilt trans.- icanfixall

Delphi Injection Pumps
When Mel rebuilds his pumps it takes some very close work on the head to rollers. They use sunlight to see what the clearance is. This extra work takes lots of time to do correctly. This area of the pumping head has a clearance way less than half a thousands. Probably more like a ten thousands...- icanfixall

6.9 not getting fuel to injectors.
Just a note about that screen in the inlet of the injection pump. Please look at the u tube videos first. In that area are the smallest springs that holds the very tiny inlet pump vanes in place. IP timing
From what I know only the RDI cam requires a tooth advance. No other cam requires this and if done you have really messed the timing up.The reason you MUST rev to 2000 rpm is that sets the timing in the pump correctly. If you are skeptical please check timing at idle and the rev to 2000 rpm.See...- icanfixall

Favorite Pop pressure?
I recall something about increasing pop pressure to 2500 lbs. Increase in both power and torque are very nice too but... This higher pressure ruins both the injection pump and injectors quicker than the usual time frame. I'm not suggesting trying this because I personally have not tried and...- icanfixall

This is EXACTLY why the vans time on the number 4 injector line and the trucks time on the number 1 injector line.We can time off any cylinder but... We can ONLY do that if we know what the degree is for any cylinder in timing rotation. Confused now??? Am not sure if Ford ever installed a turbo...- icanfixall

Welcome to the forum. Please change the oil and recheck for metal. Might even take an oil sample and send it to be tested. Many members here use Blackstone Labs for testing. Yes... ANY idi block will bolt in place where any idi block was. Demensionally every idi block is the same size and.. They are drilled the same. IP timing
As posted you need 2000 rpm to get the correct timing no matter what method you are using. The timing light or the magnetic probe type timing both require 2000 rpm and they require the clamp on the number one injector hard line.- icanfixall

Factory cam specs and propane questions.
Smaller 6.9 rods are EXACTLY the same as ANY non turbo 7.3. Even same part number. Turbo rods have the larger wrist pins at 32mm where non turbo pin size is 28mm. At 28mm they are still plenty strong for many turbos.- icanfixall

Welcome to the forum. Yes is the short answer but.. you may need to remove a roll pin from the drivers side throttle shaft to install your E4OD drive piece on that end of your injection pump.
