    PowerStroke lifters

I'm pretty curious. I've been considering replacing mine with my new cam and they're a bargain for the price being USA made if they're actually good quality. Let us know what you think of them compared to the stock ones when you get them please.

    Random surging while driving

I replaced mine at one point a few years ago while chasing a fuel problem. A couple months later after the new one puked out I put the old one back on. That was a couple years ago and it's still chugging along!

    Traveller Smurf (Cubey's '89 van)

Thanks for that information. I've been considering the same thing myself.

    E Brake Cables- question?

The cables like to rust up and stop moving. You're better off replacing them both now but you buy them individually so yes you can replace just one. I've also seen them rub against the exhaust or a shock or something so you may want to make sure they aren't rubbing anything. I wouldn't feel bad...

    Random surging while driving

The bottom at the pump is a standard inverted flare fitting. The top is a parker vibra-lok fitting with the "olive" seal. As are both ends of the hardline between the filter and IP. Return system leaks cause drainback and hard starts/stalls. Surging/stuttering while running will be a leak...

    Eccentric issues.

I'm very curious how the e-pump holds up for you with WMO. That has been a big reason for me staying with the mechanical pump.

circular base flange at end of exhaust?

The only smell I miss is the old gassers with no cats. One of the guys at work was warming up his old Harley and it brought back some good memories!

    Cup holders

Well... you get the gold star today. Searching for that gives two hits that both say SAE #1 so thanks for that! Oh, almost forgot... Cupholders!

    Cup holders

Yep definitely. I haven't had a chance to go look at it yet or I would have done more searching. "Good for chill" referring to my username lol

    Cup holders

I couldn't find answers on Google. I was being optimistic and thinking an IDI with an SAE bellhousing could be transplanted fairly easily....

    Cup holders

So since this thread is already a mess, @Nero do you have any clue if a Cat C10 uses an SAE size bellhousing and if so what size? Long story short I have a line on a truck with a blown C10 and a good 10 speed transmission that I may like to put an older cab on. It's completely relevant because...

    Diego Revisited

Fired right up this morning and ran fine to town and back. I think I can see where the o-rings were torn a little bit so I feel confident that was the problem. I'm hoping to take it on a trip tomorrow so I guess we'll find out! I'm not at all upset about the time spent replacing the olives and...

    Diego Revisited

Ya know... sometimes a cheap easy fix can be more annoying than a complicated repair. Especially when you think it's going to be worse than it is..... I started to pull the bed before I realized you can feed the fuel lines down the other side of the tank so you can actually work on them...

Though of y'all today when I went to Tractor Supply for dog food.

    6.0 intake box

Your results should be perfect for me since I believe my 088 will sit in the same spot as yours! Thanks for footing the bill to see if (how) this works!

    Diego Revisited

I don't think that's very likely with the return lines isolated. The biggest issue is that it's surging after bleeding now. I'll see what it does tomorrow morning but I'm pretty sure it will be exactly as it was before. I'm pretty sure it's letting air in at the tank. I just don't want to deal...

    Diego Revisited

Tried in vain to fix something that deep down I knew wasn't broken... Diego's had classic air intrusion since I swapped out the sending unit. No issues going down the road, only after sitting for a while. Return lines are isolated from the filter head so if it's drainback it has to be after the...

So what did you do with your truck today?

Well it's not an IDI but I've been drooling at this truck for a while so I figured I'd stop and look. I can't afford it anyway but it's an 06 550 4wd with the ZF6. Would make a great hauler.

Advice: Tire valve extensions /TPMS/ Pressure EqualizersDRW

I'm still running those crossfire equalizers. They seem to work ok. I'd ask the tire shop if they can swap out the valves for metal ones. Shouldn't cost too much, just the normal mount and balance fee I would imagine.

So what did you do with your truck today?

No idea. Haven't even started looking into that yet honestly.

    Another starter thread.

It took me maybe 15 minutes to install my powermaster starter. Put the top bolt in the starter with the swivel socket, extension and ratchet already on it. Hold it all up in there and tighten that bolt first. Install the bottom two bolts tight then make sure the top bolt is still tight. That's...

I Need the fuel pump drive gear

My machine shop friend stopped by today and we were talking, I mentioned it. Tomorrow he's going to take the one I have and get the hardness tested and hopefully give me an idea what it would cost to run a batch. It's nice having friends in the right places LOL I'll let you guys know what I hear.
