    Any codes? Have you tested for AC ripple? Set engine speed at 1,500 RPM and set a multimeter to AC. Measure at the battery terminal. Anything more than .50 VAC will cause electrical issues. Good solid grounds and a throttle position sensor that sweeps without any hiccups.

    I never noticed any operational differences. There is a temperature sensor in the transmission but maybe it's set for stone cold operation.

    Engines should be running close to the boiling point so water in air and fuel is vaporized but an automatic transmission is sealed. I've always preferred an over-cooled transmission - currently mine runs about 100F above the air temperature.
