Steering Stabilizer or Sway Bar with RFS?

Factory tries to use as a low a caster setting as is manageable/repeatable without side-effects. 1-3 degrees is common. This small amount can be 'erased' with age - spring sag and bushing compression. When you start modifiying the suspension and/or different wheels, bigger tires, etc... may...

Steering Stabilizer or Sway Bar with RFS?

Sounds like death wobble. Whats your caster angle at? Is your pinion pointing more upward than before the RSK?

A third hand for the brakes

For the pipe thread, I use hydrocarbon-rated teflon tape, and/or a dope called Leak-Lock. I normally use both. This heel-toe thing.... not something I've mastered or desired to learn in my 20 years driving diesels. Set the park brake lightly and pull through it, then release. Your proposed...

Plug block heater into "shore power"?

More important is the contact surfaces and tension inside each plug, socket and receptacle in the chain. (Especially the one at the truck.) #16 is too small for 1000w at 150'; making enough heat to really highlight the former problem. Bad enough contact surfaces with #12 can yield the same...

Plug block heater into "shore power"?

Most factory block heaters are about 700 watts; which would draw around 6 amps.

Who knows the size of the tread from the original fuel filter?

Wix is generally a decent brand; that said, i'm not a brand loyalist. I usually look at the cheapest filters on rockauto, and then start googling for who actually makes them.

Who knows the size of the tread from the original fuel filter?

Using the wixfilters website, it says 1"-14tpi thread.

    Trans Temp too cold?

Imho, ATF isn't thick enough to worry about pumping losses.

    Monroe gas Magnum

Bilsteins, yellow magnums, and rancho 5000's have been a wash for me - no real difference. (Dodge with cummins and leaf-sprung dana 60 for reference.)

    slightly different zf5 swap question

The 1410/1350 conversion joint used to be a pricey item. GMB now makes an affordable one 240-1435. If the driveshaft needs shortening, may be best to have a 1410 end yoke welded on instead.

    slightly different zf5 swap question

I've drilled the upper web of the frame from below on other trucks. A long punch and long drill bit helps with the angle.

    slightly different zf5 swap question

All I can say is for 94-95 era, the 2wd and 4wd crossmember look similar except for the dip on the driver side for where the front driveshaft is.

    Another tire size question...

255/85R16 is a limited selection, and less load capacity than the common 285/75R16. Here's my old pair of 285's I ran for the last 10 years... with a locker. Wore them about as evenly as possible by playing with the tire pressure. (On ford 16x7 wheels.)

    Exhaust

Rockauto list a full kit, and all sections. If nothing else, see where else you can buy the part #'s. For me, the Y-pipe or downpipe is the key item. After that, its fairly easy to DIY custom-cobble the rest. Some OBS powerstroke pieces may have a larger diameter.

    Another tire size question...

I liked the 285/75R16 size on my D250. Got me more top speed. Keep the tire pressure low for comfort, snow, ice, or rain. Jazz them up to full pressure for heavy loads (3750# capacity each).

    SRW to DRW

Another trick you can do is run the wider dually axle with some heavy singles. 3400-4000# tires are plentiful when you go to 33's.

Rockauto also lists 3.5" wide shoes for dually.

    1993 VSS E4OD Question

No, because the tone ring spins together with the ring gear; which is always turning at the 'right' speed for the ratio. 5mph off (high) is pretty normal from the factory. A slight bump in tire size will get your speedo closer.

    1993 VSS E4OD Question

I recall dealing with a similar trans problem due to the axle vss (vehicle speed sensor) failure on a '97 F450 some 20 years ago. I cant say if 93 and 97 behave the same.

I think its fine. Onto the third set now. Dont offroad enough really to bother airing down. Usually a lot of highway between adventure spots, and not setup for OBA.

    Need some knowledge

Inflation pressure is up to you, and there's easily 1000# difference between various 'Load Range E' tires. I run load E tires on the jeep.... they only need 30-35# air for the road.
