    Turn Signal Cam... ugh!

I just installed a TRQ brand one from Amazon (Taiwan). My original was busted in 5 different ways. Reviews seem ok. So far so good. It definitely seems easier to click the turn signals. I'm hoping this aids in it's lifespan.

    Grumpy idle noise in gear

@The_Josh_Bear Speaking of that. Has anyone overfilled there T19's the same way to get rid of rollover noise?

    Locking Hubs: Seeking Reviews

Spinning an entire differential/axle shafts/and driveshaft just to spin it is definitely wasted energy so you'd pick up some fuel economy for sure. I'll say for sure it's quieter when you don't have the front drive spinning

    Sudden loss of oil

It's not too difficult to fix but if you don't have your tools ready to go it's can be annoying to change on the side of the road. I'm sure Pete enjoyed the work.

    Locking Hubs: Seeking Reviews

I'd stick with the Warns for selective action. If you want the ultimate in strength run drive slugs.

    Grumpy idle noise in gear

I'm assuming it's a manual. If so, i'd guess gear rollover noise like @IDIBRONCO said. Always helps to post a video of the noise just to be sure.

    Sudden loss of oil

That's what I did. Service body alone is what another 500lbs? That plus the 38 gallon rear tank weight in the rear my truck rides WAY better now. As far as oil goes I was using the cheapo SuperTech diesel oil from Walmart but noticed I had to top off oil twice as much. I switched over to...

99% sure it's the booster. Thoughts?

Sounds like a booster to me. I had to do a booster/master right after buying my current truck. I'd highly recommend you bench bleed before install. It usually takes about 100 or so full strokes of the master cylinder before the air finally clears out visually. At least that's been my experience.

    Sudden loss of oil

My personally favorite is hitting a steep grade carrying or towing a heavy load. RPM's somewhere around 2500 at max power and keep it at a steady speed under WOT. BUT this is not always possible depending where you live. High load and higher rpm are good IMO. My main objective is to keep it...

    Sudden loss of oil

I don't see how your dipstick could lie unless the dipstick is loose on the clamp or you're checking the engine when it's cold verse hot. You'll obviously get different measurements for both. If you aren't seeing excess smoke, no leaks, and no issues i'd go run it hard. Make sure that pedel...

    Sudden loss of oil

"Don't drive much and usually not far from home"...Sounds like it needs to be worked. Also, if you're running conventional oil it'll burn that off faster than say a synthetic blend/synthetic. I saw rapid oil consumption just from changing engine oils. CDR could also be suspect. IMO these are...

    Rock Auto, scam on shipping?

i've had great luck with finding parts on Rockauto since they label parts pretty good. They also have those closeout deals that are ridiculously cheap sometimes. But I am impulsive and MUST HAVE IT NOW! So I go to the local Autozone, O'reillys, or Napa and see if I can decipher what will work...

    7.3 knock

I'm very curious what you find. I hope it's relatively easy to fix and not a major overhaul. My original 6.9 I pulled out of my 87 was making a knocking sound. Very similar to what yours sounds like. Did Injectors, compression test, CDR, timing etc. nothing helped. I still need to tear it...

    7.3idi Rebuild Cylinder Wear

If I had a decent running VE laying around I would put it in. On the flip side it's not just going to bolt in. You're going to have to massage a lot more than you think. I was on the fence of a Cummins swap but everyone around here thought a million mile 12v that "just needs injectors" with...

How many of you guys are running a water separator?

yeah I was going to use it but I believe it might stick up too high for a truck hood. I'll keep in around for the day I IDI swap my 68. I'm getting a little tired of this 460.

How many of you guys are running a water separator?

I must confess I haven't ran a water separator in years. I know shame on me. I've been quite lucky with the fuel I get which has always been from Chevron. Also, being here in Havasu AZ is VERY dry. I do have a 7.3 filter head on standby but it's the one that mounts more towards the driver...

Surface mount hitch receiver on front bumper to carry bikes?

I like this idea for adding places to put things and i'm sure it will be strong enough. My only issue is cooling. My buddy used to run around with bikes on the front of his truck and it definitely ran warmer when under a long hill. This is with a nice aluminum rad and fully functioning...

Installing new leafs on 94 F250 TTB

My truck had a bunch of camber from the blown out leaf spring bushings and the axle pivot bushings. After doing both for relatively cheap (Energy Suspension) it really made the alignment come back to where it should be. I still need to do a degree or two of camber on one side but it made a...

Bad coolant leak for a few minutes during cold mornings

Judging by how porous, pitted, and corroded i've seen these upper and lower coolant elbows get, i'm not surprised you're seeing a slight coolant leak from that. Before I installed this last engine I wire wheeled the heck out of both upper and lower. It was a combo of this white/greenish...

Been chasing other issues, now is my injection pump dead?

Your compression numbers aren't my favorite. If it was taken care of and only has 150K+ i'd expect compression numbers near the 400's but thats just me. When the glow plugs cooked when the controller stuck open did they all come out in one piece? Any broken ones? You can really kill a...

Been chasing other issues, now is my injection pump dead?

First of all. Nice truck! I rocked a big ol Lance on my old bullnose for years. Such a great adventure rig. I'm sure others will mention it's not recommended to put new injectors on a old IP. If the IP is worn it has to work extra hard to pop those new injector pressures like it's suppose...

3.55 gears vs 4.10s with gear vendors

3.55 gears vs 4.10s with gear vendors

Personally, I really like the gearing I have with 35's, 3:54, T19, and (093). Mind you I haven't pulled heavy with it. It has a decent highway speed/RPM for me (65). Any faster than 70 MPH the brick shape starts to really kill efficiency. I usually start in first gear anyways. First could...

    ABS light comes on

My ABS light was stuck on/off and intermittent from a host of issues like low brake fluid, air in the RABS unit after a master cylinder/booster replacement, as well as a faulty rear diff sensor. After a second thorough bleed, a new rear diff sensor, and RABS bleed I haven't had any issues. The...
