I don't think it would create a dangerous install, especially with it being torqued in correctly. What you'll probably have is bad ride height and extra springy suspension from the angle being wrong. Have you tried calling the manufacturer of the kit and see what they have to say about it...
I like the king pins because I never have to worry about ball joints wearing out. My D60 is aligned though, and all I've ever done to it is lube it. As far as I know its never been apart and has well over 200k on it.
Are you sure? Every idi ive seen always had the same part# and just the battery is flipped. In his first picture it looks like the passenger side batt is in backwards compared to every other idi ive seen.
