    You're missing the tire :joker: On mine I put the hub side facing up, then just lifted er up and sent it. I did use the wing nut on the back side.

    Yep, looked it up; flex plate is turbo block specific. Same as balancer. Edit; Looks like rockauto sells both the turbo and non turbo variant flex plates. They are different part numbers. Both have 155 teeth and are weighted, so not sure what all is different. Justin also sells both variants...

    I don't know how long the engine sat for, but I'm gonna at least pull the heads and put the studs in we got. Old man doesn't plan on turboing it, but we already have a set of felpro gaskets laying around, so might as well. I'm trying to convince him to at least put comp spring in, but for a N/A...

    3 hours round trip and $600 later.... I'll throw some injectors in it and a flywheel/starter and compression check it before I yank the heads off. Stay tuned.

    Nah, I found a 1989 block that supposedly came out of a running truck at 117k for $600, I'll pick it up tomorrow and tear it apart. In the meantime I guess I have some turbo rods to sell.

    Low boost high EGT and lots of smoke....

    Lots of black smoke+high egts is not enough air. Either intake restriction, boost leak, or exhaust leak between turbo and heads. Between turbo and muffler doesn't matter at all in regards to leaks.

    #8 is the only cylinder without a cracked piston, and it doesn't have the harsh lip that all the adjacent side cylinders have. Kid of weird that one bank looks like it ate dirt, but the other side has good hones.

    Spent some time on er last night and today. Transmission out and engine on stand and tore apart. On another note. F***. 7 out of 8 are cracked. Not surprising since its got 320k on it and never intercooled or any other preventative measures taken like a pyro install... Now I need to find some...

    Know what seats I'd love to have? 2015 F series front seats. We have an F-650 at work right now and oh lordy are they comfortable! Nothing special just cloth seats, but they form to you really well and have lots of support

    The front seats on my crew cab are from a 1989-1995 Dodge Spirit. I bought both seats with custom bracket from the wrecking yard, they came out of a 1989 f250 extendo cab that someone else had fabbed up. Super comfortable. Here's the picture of them in the donor truck.
