We haven't gotten one goddanged snowflake here yet. Many below freezing days. Too dry. But this last weekend it's like Poseidon himself was mad at us and just pissed rain all weekend
I didn't see felpro studs listed here... You sure they aren't just regular head bolts?
I've had 4 idi's apart. All of them had at least a few damaged head bolts. That's why I say go head studs. Or put new bolts in.
Every engine has a front main, and a rear main seal. The paper gaskets are for the seal carriers. You can do the seal without pulling the carrier, I do them if I'm that deep in.
The main seals are the round ones that seal the crankshaft.
To do the timing cover you do have to pull it apart quite a bit to do... But having both covers off makes it easier to press the main seals in... Otherwise you need the special seal installer.
A 100% stock 093 kit will not hurt a stock n/a idi at all.
Some may suggest to retorque your head bolts for safe measure, but the wastegate will prevent over boosting and keep your engine within safe parameters.
Oh, and get a pyrometer installed in the exhaust manifold.

I sourced both from my local napa, but rock auto and others have them.
My felpro upper gasket set came with rubber valve cover gaskets.
I also used felpro front and rear seal kits, comes with the main seals and the gaskets for seal carrier to the block.
Many of us have beat the sh** out of that with hammers.. Pry bars... Angry fists... The down pipe itself... To make it fit. Does it have a purpose? Maybe. Does my truck still drive down the road without it? Definitely.
Correct, transmission needs dropped to do the rear main seal. If it isn't leaking... Leave it alone is my philosiphy. I have had my transmission down twice and my engine out once... Original rear seal from 1988 doing just fine.
Thatis a good way to do it too.
When I built my engine I did it in chassis as well. I left the exhaust attached to the heads and pulled it as one chunk. You can pull the manifold bolts through the fender liner too if you wish.
Front seal can be done in chassis, rear can as well if you pull the...
Puling the engine... Pretty much yeah.
You don't have to have the valve seats cut, just lap them. Something you can do, lots of youtube vids out there on how to. Definitely very time consuming and your hands will cramp a little
Shoot I missed the part about the schrader. Definitely sounds like a fuel suction issue if you're getting air in your filter and sputtering from the schrader.
Internally on the pump there is a governor that prevents the engine from stalling when you let off the throttle. It can get sticky and cause strange issues at times. But since you already ran a bunch of fuel cleaner and ATF, probably isn't the issue...
What about your fuel return? If the check...
Welcome to the forums! Sweet looking rig!
Have you tried running out of a bucket yet? That'll eliminate from the lift pump back if that's the issue.
These injection pumps don't like sitting, they get sticky internally and can cause weird things to happen. Try running it out of a bucket spiked...
If you are pulling an engine, doing the pan and front/rear main seal are always advised.
Head studs, I have a set of ARPs in my engine. They are no longer made.
Justin sells a set of custom made ones, and CDD resells Gator brand ones. I just installed a set od Gator ones and used Justin's...
If it is the stock head gaskets, they are stamped steel, and will do this over time.
Some swear to just retorque the head bolts and see if it goes away on its own. If you aren't losing coolant and it is just combustion getting past, may be worth a shot.
As for just doing a head gasket, it is...
Today I finally unplugged my timing advance solenoid. After dealing with a weird issue where anything after 2000rpm it just wanted to accelerate really fast... I got tired of waiting for the coolant temp to warm up to turn it off.
Oh, and I got lost out in the woods again. Be back home Sunday...
