I believe I looked into Dynomax... "not available" but I'll double check.
Meineke wants $600 to make the Y pipe.
Walker rep told me they will make more again but, don't have a run-date.
Ugh... my Y pipe can't be welded.
Turns out my local Meineke Muffler does a good amount of custom exhaust work.
The fella said maybe I can cut out the bad bend and make a new bend to sleeve both ends onto what's existing and use two clamps.
That would probably be the less costly option. VS...
How is it that I've had my 1988 F250 XLT Lariat super cab 4x4 7.3 since NEW... and never heard of the cold water trick???
For some reason I feel OP's problems are with the electric fuel pump.
Hold the Bus... I 'believe' I'm seeing the AP muffler hanger #8179 and the two gaskets AP #9079 on Rock Auto!
But no Y-pipe and no #28385 pipe... I 'may' be able to get that made.
Well I called a friend that has a shop and is one heck of an excellent welder... so I'll be taking it there to see if the integrity of the Y-pipe is good enough to where it can be patched/welded.
It blows my mind that even the muffler bracket isn't even available... I can buy the AP muffler but...
From OE I installed a complete AP exhaust system back in 2008... that's 17 years ago > > > I can't complain about getting 17 years out of my exhaust system! The original Y pipe and exhaust pipes/muffler was from 1988 that lasted 20 years.
What I can complain about is how parts for our old trucks...
For my 1988 F250 super cab 4x4:
My entire exhaust is from AP I installed years ago.
Y pipe #95978 (has a hole at bend) AP manufacture stopped making it, all local parts stores... "out of stock."
Pipe after Y-pipe #28385 AP stopped making it and Walker doesn't even show it.
Muffler bracket #8179...
Unfortunately I only attended 'one' and was fortunate it was located only a few hours away but, without a doubt it was a good time and I got to meet several Oil Burners IDI members in person from the other side of the computer screen.
Edit... somewhere out there is a video of that day... would...
Thanks for the feedback but aren't they Dorman parts?
No O'reilly's in my area.
Just the cam alone is what I see on eBay.
I have also replaced the entire switch with wiring pigtail $$$$ it still fails.

"CDD?" ... I've been somewhat out of the loop since Mel did the 1'st ever "Baby Moose" build on my OE 1988 7.3 idi pump back in maybe 2011'ish. After I did the install, I even went to his house for him to time it. I 'believe' he's in S.C. still doing his thing????
Yea buddy!
I would have like to get the smaller Power Master starter but honestly I couldn't imagine it spinning my 7.3 any faster vs this remanufactured Mitsubishi OE.
Fingers crossed, it goes in tomorrow.
I would have preferred the Promaster 9050 but with snow tomorrow I couldn't wait.
*same exact rebuild starter from Nappa 'BB'' $189.00 lifetime warranty.
I got this one (BBB/vision oe) from another parts house (my discount) $100 but a one year warranty.
One...
I've owned my truck since 'new'... I'm well aware what the block heater warms... I replaced it over twenty years ago.
And unfortunately, last time I plugged it in, it dripped coolant from the heater o-ring.
