So what did you do with your truck today?

I was about a block from it when it went so I limped it in there in case I needed parts. It was just dumb luck I was that close. The cool thing about this store is that it is attached to the distribution warehouse for the whole KC area so they will have what ya need LOL

So what did you do with your truck today?

I replaced a shredded serpentine belt in a O'Really's parking lot a 4:30 am after a 12 hour shift. Luckily I had thrown the old on in the truck and an extra idler pulley It had grabbed the transmission cooler line but luckily just bent them. What a mess

7.3 IDI rpm’s climbing on their own after 2500

Are you loosing any oil. Not sure how easy it could injest the engine oil without a turbo but that would be my first thing I would try to eliminate. Just because if its burning engines oil it could kill itself pretty quick

Anyone have a guide to pull a 7.3 idi?

Here is this if it is helpful bolt 7 is torquer's choice I guess

    Blower motor

Mine is that way, check the defrost vent for flow. Mine seems to take a bit to come out the dash vent until the vacuum builds up but it is blowing out the defrost until then. I need to replace that white colored vacuum hose that goes to the blend door by the firewall

    Column Shift Lever ‘92 E4OD

Thanks to @Black dawg for pointing this out. I would mostly likely never checked this. If I had not pushed and pulled onto the ends at the same time I still would not have found it because it slides in the case as you would expect it to without pressure applied

    Column Shift Lever ‘92 E4OD

So the shift lever position is much more positive and much less sloppy feel but here is the real issue. This is the cable length as I removed it But this is the length if pressure is applied to both ends of the cable The cable is internally broken but you can't remove either end so it seems...

    Column Shift Lever ‘92 E4OD

@Cant Write I picked these up at O-Really? Yesterday. Definely made a difference on the lever handle and on the lever on the far end of the tube near where the cable connects. Going to check the cable today like @Black dawg suggested I will let ya know how it goes

    Column Shift Lever ‘92 E4OD

Let me retry that. It's funny because I am having the same issue as @Cant Write . I have replaced the bushings on the shifter tube and am confident that the T30 torx bolts are tight on the part that attaches to the shift cable. But sometimes it shifts with positive clear feel fo each position...

    Steering gear swap

    Also a good choice LOL

    Steering gear swap

What did you have to do for fitment? Do you use the original ford steering pump? Do you have to make hose adapters? Not being a smart a$$. Genuinely curious because mine steering box is well used and could need an upgrade at any moment LOL

    Steering gear swap

I don't know anything about what the differences would be but, just from what you added about different hoses, new hoses new steering box maybe more new unforseen parts and possible headaches. You can get a gearbox with the stock bolt up but a more robust internally like the red or blue cap...

So what did you do with your truck today?

So today I tried to heatstroke myself working in the shop getting the bumper together and mounted. It's a 2022 bumper with a complete performance conversion brackets.
