    Chronic repeated mouse/rat problem

next time you get peanut butter get chunky, then wedge one of the chunks in the trip piece. That way they really have to work at it to get it. That should set the trap off. I have caught some tiny mice using that method. I think only once or twice have I had it fail.

    Whats this leaking now?

I am surprised you cant find a good mechanic where you are. You have some pretty big cities somewat close to you, seems like you should be able to find someone. @IDIoit is pretty far south of you, but maybe he knows someone around. or maybe @Clb? not sure how close he is. I agree with...

    Zf5 Rebuild or Replace

cant help you with the transmission case, but when backing up trailers, I put the truck in 4lo dont even need to engage the front hubs. It just gives you so much more control backing up and you dont have to smoke your clutch. Works great.

    So I loaned the truck. .. .

Sounds to me like son should be helping pay for it. I borrowed my dads truck, closed the door and the back window shattered. No idea why, I didn't do anything to it, but I still paid for it. wasn't right to make my dad pay for it.

I was thinking the same thing. I had a very hard time figuring out what was going on. I don't have the best spelling and punctuation, but that was a tough read. hopefully he replies and can clear up what the issue is.

To penetrate or not to penetrate.

That is cool!! wonder how much one of those costs? edit: Best I can find is somewhere between $3000 and $5000. But I couldn't find that actual one with a price listed anywhere. Second Edit: Actually I found one place that has the VJ-3 listed and I quote "comes in at a very reasonable price...

93 7.3 idk crank no start no smoke from exhaust

Never heard of Swag diesel, but I dont think they are making these injectors anymore. I think all of them are being rebuilt from parts. I could be wrong though. If your not getting any smoke out the tail pipe when your cranking then you are not getting any fuel through the injectors. at least...

    EGT questions

That's crazy. I have his down pipe. The biggest thing I had to do was put a dent in it to clear the up pipe v band that I have from @IDIoit. It was kinda tricky to snake it in there and get it to line up correctly. Also I put new body mounts on at the same time and that raised my cab over an...

    Fresh build, smoke, stumped

Glad he is taking care of you. I was going to say its almost like something is blocking #4. Either in the line or in the pump itself. My bet is the pump. just not building the pressure it needs for whatever reason.

Powerstroke 2 IDI no Turbo conversion

it wont be cheap but could you import some parts from the US? I am sure there are several members on here that have the spare parts you are looking for that they would sell you.

    High pressure fuel pumps

I would mount it on the front like @hacked89 showed, or maybe on top of the camper. though it will be a pain to get up and down, its not like you need it very often. I dont carry a spare with me. I need the bedspace for work and with the big tank I cant put it underneath. I daily drive it...

Another good reason to stay out of Calif.

While I dont know if we barely have enough to keep plants growing, I do know that our planet has greened up significantly over the last 40 years. As the amount of CO2 went up the plants loved it. Many scientists said that due to "global Warming" the Sahara dessert would expand and more land...

    Forward facing car seat

Three kids here, two still in forward facing car seats. A few times all three were in them and we had them all across the back seat. I do what @The_Josh_Bear does, buckle it loose, put my knee on it and lean on the seat and pull the belt tight. not the easiest but the best I have found. I use...

Another good reason to stay out of Calif.

I have lived in California all my life. There is a lot to hate here, but the natural beauty of this state is not one of those things. You absolutely should visit and absolutely stay out of the big cities. Hit the coast between LA and San Fran (where I live) go up the 1 along the coast. Cruz...

    Project Stress Test

Brian as in @IDIoit? Thats neat how it is two completely separate pieces. I assume that came out of his twin turbo setup. Running one big line out of the IP cover would you then go to a catch can? or in this case are you running a road draft tube? not sure on the rules for the car.

    Project Stress Test

I am am interested to see your CDR design and how well it works. I need to figure out something for mine. I get a lot of oil build up in my intercooler that I really dont want in there and am looking for a good solution to it. Can you get a better picture of your intake? It looks interesting.

Trailered home a 1989 F350 dump truck that looks great on the outside, but the 7.3 IDI is something else

Ford also makes an E locker now for their newer trucks that will fit our rear ends. I believe you need to swap some of the newer parts with it.

So what did you do with your truck today?

R99 is basically all I can get around here now. Truck seems to run fine on it. I add a dose of the hotshots secrete to the tank every fill up. We dont get that cold around here though. Not sure how the gelling properties are compared to other diesel types.

So what did you do with your truck today?

It was actually last week, but drove it to work as I do everyday. Rolled 260,000 miles on my way to the job and on my way home it thanked me by the dash lights going out. two days later learned my tail lights were out by getting pulled over. He was nice and just gave me a warning. So this past...
