    New Seats

Thanks for the info guys! While Im doing the seats and carpet I thought it would a good time to upgrade the sound system as well. Good time to run wires for stuff under the carpet. The new seat configuration will have two captains chairs with a center console instead of a bench. Figured I...

    New Seats

Hi all! I am finally going to install some used King Ranch seats, I picked up 6years ago, into the my 91 CC. Going to replace the carpet at the same time and just try to clean up the interior in general. The new seats are power as well as heated. My question is what do you guys think is the...

So what did you do with your truck today?

Finally had time to install hydroboost in my 91. I have been gathering parts and reading the tech threads for a couple of years. The process went better than expected. This is the first vacuum to hydroboost conversion I have done. I'm happy to report with the info provided on this forum it...

    Glowshift Gauges?

I started out running the Glowshift Max Tow gauges (boost, pyrometer, coolant temp). Switched all of them over to Isspro. My pyrometer ,I suspected, was reading to low. I feel this is a huge problem , especially if towing. Maybe bad sensor unit ,I dont know. I did not want to take a chance and...

Making the change over to Hydroboost.

Quick update: While I pulled the trigger on the 04 hydroboost unit, I got a little worried on how to retro-fit it for my 91. I knew the pedal pushrod would have to be differnt and really didnt want to deal with that. I ended up going with a unit from power brakes, the company Old Goat came...

Making the change over to Hydroboost.

Thanks for the info. I see u2slow notched his MC . Maybe he could chime in. I'm not necessarily against using the the MC that fits that particular hydroboost year, but also not afraid to modify something that might be better. Either way ,still an upgrade. ifrythings, did you have to modify the...

Making the change over to Hydroboost.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the 2004 Motorcraft Hydroboost unit. I'm assumming there will be some modifications to have it fit. Also need to source the MC. What years went to the larger bore? The one for the 2004 is 1 3/8, would like to find the 1 1/2 if possible. Thanks all !

Thanks idibronco,Im definitely closer to your end of the scale. Mostly on pavement and nothing super heavy. Well said Clb, Just because you can tow it doesnt mean you should!

Making the change over to Hydroboost.

Makes sense, thanks man. I just need to wrap my head around these things, there seems to be such a stigma about drum brakes. It seems ,for our vintage of trucks,a properly installed and adjusted set of drum brakes do as good if not better than disc.

Thanks again for all the great info. Are there any upgrades you can do for the rear drums. I really need to refresh my memory on how to properly adjustment those.

Making the change over to Hydroboost.

Thanks for the info guys. Like Laine D I was seriously considering a rear disc conversion but feel the upgrade to Hydro-boost ,a proportioning valve and becoming one with my rear drum brakes , will get me where I want. I dont haul heavy alot, but would like to know I could stop when I did.

Cool, the fact that its a Motorcraft makes me feel a bit better. Price seems reasonable. Might pull the trigger on that.

Making the change over to Hydroboost.

Hi all! Im looking to convert over to hydroboost and wondering if there are any new units being made and if they are worth a darn. I have the power steering reservoir with the return port so I dont have to source that. Also planning to use the proportioning valve. Thanks for the info
