Kingpin 60, the kingpin stuff will outlive most any trucks lifetime...with just an upper bushing change. All are d60 diff and packable wheel bearings. Not sure either 60 is...

    I guess to clarify, say like 3rd gear from idle speed wot, what does the boost gauge do below 1500 rpm.

    How much can i tow ???

    Heat will be a problem with the c6. Just getting a load moving with the high first gear can be difficult, especially if uphill at all. Even with the manual ratios these trucks came with, low range can be needed at times just to get rolling without a bunch of drama.

    This is interesting. I remembered these having the inline one by the booster that franklin described. Had to go look.... 84 and 86, both idi manual trucks, both have the inline sensor by the booster. Neither have the one in the cable at the trans.

    I have actually done this vacuum trick/laziness. Put a used engine in a nissan pickup many years ago, and it ended up having a serious oil leak at the oil pan gasket.     Are the bolts tight? And, water pumps can leak just like this when they start leaking.

    Dt360 would be cool. I used to resist the cummins swap idea, but it really is the answer if function and dependability are the outcome that is being looked for.....but if wanting something cool and different, 12v is still cool, but not different/unique.

    Don't Ya Just Love...

    An old couch cushion is pretty awesome over that area. Usually use one of those kneeling pads, or have an old creeper with no wheels that works good. Or unbolt it and let it hang down in there.

    It will be fine. Just remember that it still might not be completely full, but usually very close to.

    Keep in mind, that unless the wiring has been modified, the controller generates the wait to start light, doesnt always mean that power is being supplied to the plugs.

    As said already, mech pump is the way with thick fuel mixes. Probably be better off with an old grungy used one though. New ones are less than reliable. Have also seen fuel line size differences in some of these trucks. The two that I have personal experience with wmo, both had 3/8 sized line...

    I never tried any in the truck, but mixed some in a jar and never got it to mix.....

    I have not heard much good about those pumps pumping diesel. That is a really thick mix for any electric fuel pump.

    Most of the serp belt trucks came with pumps that had that upper screw. It adjusts the max travel of the metering valve.

    Look at the injection pump closely. Throttle shafts, weep hole, and where the advance arm pushes that pin in on the left side.
