    95 F350 Frame Swap to 96 F-Superduty.

The frame width and fuel tank mounting vary greatly between cab and chassis and pickup trucks.

    Slow crank

Do you have a volt meter, even a test meter, that you could measure voltage at the batteries and at the starter with? You could even hook that up to the passenger side batteries, and then crank the truck over by jumping the solenoid. Make sure that your truck is not in gear.

So when you got nothing, does it act completely dead? Dash light up? Or could it just be the starter?

    95 F350 Frame Swap to 96 F-Superduty.

That’s my point on the statement I made regarding having an auto transmission with a 4WD swapped F-Super that would retain the Dana 80, since you have park in the transmission you could probably get away with no e brake… not sure on the legality of that though. You could swap the Sterling 10.25...

    95 F350 Frame Swap to 96 F-Superduty.

Adding a parking brake to the rear axle is a good idea, I will be interested to see how you do it.

    95 F350 Frame Swap to 96 F-Superduty.

Are you planning on using the F-Super rear axle with a Dana 60 front? If so, let me introduce you to two complications. While the Dana 60 will bolt right onto the F-Super frame, it will not have the same gearing as the factory Dana 80 rear the F-Super has. The Dana 60 likely has 4.10s, 3.55...

F-Supers don’t have ABS, for the record.

    95 F350 Frame Swap to 96 F-Superduty.

@Dirtleg That assembly is to increase brake fluid volume to the rear calipers, these F-Supers have disk brakes all the way around. As you increase axle load, brake fluid volume and pressure is increased.

    1992 F450 rebuild 7.3L idi

Possibly. I have not personally seen a cavitated IDI, but heard accounts of such a thing and have seen quite a few pictures. I personally run an SCA charged coolant filter on my 91, that way I don’t have to worry about it. Check SCA with test strips twice a year, and fit the properly charged...

    1992 F450 rebuild 7.3L idi

In 94, there was an option for a factory turbo. Upgraded internals over the non turbo version, larger con rods with bigger wrist pins, and different valves. Also a larger oil port for the turbo feed, where the oil pressure sensor is on non turbo versions. The turbo system used on these factory...

ok let us beat the mpg horse some

Modern DPF systems actually tend to be reliable, as we have been using them for 17-18 years. Early DPF systems, such as found on the 6.4 PSD, LMM Dmax, and 07.5-12 6.7 Cummins were very new technology, and used the engine injectors to burn the soot into ash, which was not a very good design. DEF...

ok let us beat the mpg horse some

So, the DPF (diesel particulate filter) and SCR (selective catalytic reduction, the thing that doses DEF into the exhaust stream) are completely independent of each other. The DPF stores soot until it gets to a certain fill level, and then increases inlet temperature, usually with a fuel...

Some of the early bullnoses has some sort of NP case… must have been the 208, I don’t know if they were aluminum or magnesium, but they were chain driven. I’ve seen them on half tons and three quarter tons, 80-81 trucks, and one 82 that was built in 81. Never seen a diesel with one though.

Is a functioning speedo not legally required in Canada? It is in the USA, but if you live in a state without inspections (such as Kansas, unless it’s a commercial vehicle) then the authorities would never know.

The ZF5 bolts right in place of a C6 or T19. Use whichever transfer case that is currently in your truck. You will need the crossmember from the ZF5 truck. It’s an easy swap.
