    I'd look at the mounting surface of the starter and make sure it's clean before mounting, also clean the bolts. Also make sure you have clean ground lugs to the batteries and all ground straps, this really sounds like a bad ground some where.

    My oil change man found a pulley from someone he knows and it is sitting on his desk waiting forme to get the truck back to him. After he replaced the pump we found out the new pulley they sold him with that pump would not go onto the shaft so he reused the old one, same problem but a bit closer...

    Clearly my pump pulley sits way too far forward for some reason. I'm on the hunt for a new pump and pulley because of this issue and the wobble. The pump is no problem, the pulley on the other hand is proving to be made from unobtanium.

    No matter which way I put the belts on they will interfere with each other. In fact, this pic shows the p/s pulley is too far forward anyway. Do you have a link for that pulley you found?

    I saw no grove but will look again tomorrow. This picture seems to show the pulley installed too far forwad and that's what makes me think it's on backwards. Is that even possible?

    Yea n/a will be fine, it was just a thought really and I was wondering about the benefits verses the downside. I will be towing a front loader that weighs about 14k but that will be very rarely and never very far, maybe 15 miles at most so it should be fine like it is.

    Thanks for the info, don't think I'll bother with a turbo. Slow and steady will be just fine by me as long as I get there without damaging anything. I'm thinking it's due foir injectors, return lines and filters anyway so I might as well jump in and learn as I go. Fall should be here any day now...

    With the correct belt size for the AC it will line up with the water pump and crank pulies and that should take care of the problem.
