How it Works - Fuel Selector Valve (FSV) and IDI Fuel Math AKA "What fuel pump should I run?"

I always wondered if it will be possible or practical to have a fuel pump for each tank (with a check valve to prevent backflow) so when you switch from one tank to the other it turns on the respective fuel pump turns on and the other turns off. Then you could use the selector valve to control...

    HELP!! COOLANT PROBLEM!!

You will need to find the source of the leak first and foremost. It is likely the cause of your steam problem. Your overheating is likely due to an air bubble stuck in the motor and it will need run for a minute or so to get it worked out.

    Electric Vacuum Pump?

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BVQZSKO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_Ft83FbZEFFR57?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 When I swapped to hydroboost I used this for the hvac controls. I don't know about replacing the mechanical vacuum pump with an idler because I have the v belt version which doesn't need an idler to...

    01 no power hot

I would recommend upgrading the lift pump at the same time as replacing the vp44. Doing so will.make the replacement pump last longer. The stock lift pump is poorly sized to the requirements of the engine and can cause the vp44 to overheat and eventually fail.

If I had go guess I would say the vp44 pump is likely going out

    Auto diesel vs diesel #2?

I think the tax exempt truck diesel being referred to here is likely exempt from an additional tax added on top of the tax difference between dyed diesel and clear that some states likely do.

    Auto diesel vs diesel #2?

I'm not sure why the #2 diesel is more expensive at your location but they should be the same but the auto diesel is slower.

    Constant front main seal leak

I just got done rebuilding the engine, installing it and getting it buttoned up. Its most likely a mistake on my part leading to the leak on the front

    Constant front main seal leak

Upon further inspection it now appears to not be leaking at the front main but the oil pan behind the harmonic balancer. Is there any way to reseal the oil pan without pulling the engine or will that be my only option?

    Constant front main seal leak

I've been rebuilding the engine on my truck and have been having issues with my front main seal. I've gone through 3 seals and the last attempt I've put a speedi sleeve on the harmonic balancer. The balancer is also new but I still have a leak out of the front main. I am currently running a...

    Proper timing equipment?

If you can find a used snap on mt257 diesel timing adapter or a ferret timing adapter that would be the easiest to use. Snap on mt480 is a Luminosity probe which has the accessories of mt88a, mt160 and mt161. Mt88a is the probe itself and the mt160 and 161 are the threaded adapters which go into...

    Crew hauler build

When you reseal the oil pan, do not use a gasket. These engines came from the factory with silicone sealing the oil pan and if you tried to use a gasket you have a high likelihood it will leak
