    Thanks Philip1. I've never seen a zf5 so i can't guess. Hi IDIBRONCO, I tried pulling the turbo once to get to the glow plugs under it and gave up. I'll try searching for a tutorial again. I think the real problem will be the exhaust pipe coming out of the turbo.

    Thanks idibronco, some tips i haven't heard. That doesn't happen much anymore. I also used masking tape to label some wires. I don't have any help but i have got a tranny jack. The fun part's going to be getting it into a worn out Durango by myself, lol

    BTW, i had some fun with one of those a few years back when i swapped a 6.9. The thing was so greasy that i cleaned it with gasoline. I let it sit for a week, but that didn't help. When i turned the key, it said BOOM!

    Thanks. I still have the engine donor truck. It's gp harness looks worse than the one I kept, but I was able to use it to backtrack the burnt wire . Turns out that it was the wire for the FSS. I ran a hot wire to the cab, added a 20a fuse, a toggle switch and ran it back to the solenoid. She...

    Thanks Jasper, but I can't find the fuel shut off solenoid in there. Do they call it something else or am I just missing it?

    that's how she's acting. But right now I'm not sure which part of the circuits to check. I've checked the fuel shut off solenoid and it works when voltage is applied. If it's wire is the one that's burning i could temp rig something . That's why I'm hoping for a pin layout.
