I have moved a heavier 530CK with a 6800 lb trailer 45 miles including a 6% grade for 6 miles of it. I used a NA 6.9 with a Borg Warner 4 spd (T-19 or T-18, I forget). I was OK on the flats in top gear and 55 mph. On the grade, I got down to second gear and it was comfortable there. I did not...
Is it a manual trans? If so, pulling it to start it would be better than over working the starter. I had one sit for 11 yrs and pull started it in a half mile.
Can you air it up and pull start it. I am not familiar with the Maxx Force (other to know to stay away from them). On my Series 60, a small dose of either will prime it. Key word being small ( < 2 second blast in the air filter). The N-14 was self priming. I don't know about the X-15 or the Cats.
I cored mine out with a regional rebuilder. I would not recommend the same regional rebuilder again, but the second trans is OK.
The reason I cored mine out is, I wanted "gas" gears in my diesel ZF5. The gas gear pack offer a lower first gear and after I put 3.55 gears in my diffs, I realized...

Only time I have a chance to get to KS is in the summer and that chance has past. I do have friends south of Wichita area that do visit here twice a year. I don't know if they have a vehicle that can handle this much weight to get the eng to you though.
Everything is there. the heads, intake & exhaust manifolds are off. I'll have to look, it might be missing the gear and cover where you put the oil in/tach drive. The short block has been exposed to rain/snow and is "stuck".
Still thinning the flock:

Story of MY LIFE!! Except my project is still sitting after putting only 40 miles on it after a rebuild! I got so frustrated I went a bought a new set of problems (PSD). I've had the rear diff rebuilt and reverse fixed in the ZF. Just put new injectors in it too. A LOT more costly than the IDI.
Poly - buy/install once = cry once
If you have the time, put the bushings in the freezer for 2 days before install. Also, cooking oil is your friend. I still have bushings for my Western Star in the freezer. Someday I will get around to installing them in my spare dog bone rods.
Is this on the...
Where are you? I have a C6 for a 4x4 and torque conv for $150. Help me pull it = $100. If you want the transfer case, 6.9NA and front axle, that's available too. $600 for the whole thing minus the rear axle and tool box. $1400 for everything!
I run 75-90 Amsoil in mine. 2 stories:
Big truck diff manufactures (Eaton, Rockwell, Spicer...) will warranty diffs for 250K miles if they are spec'ed with dino oil. If you spec them with synthetic, they warranty them for 750K miles
A friend ran his 10.25 Sterling out of oil and locked it up...
