Sucking air while running tends to give it more power for just a moment because you inject a mixture of air and fuel. The more power doesn't last long though.
The truck in my photo had a bad injection pump when I bought it. The advance piston was bad on it. I drove it home 3 hours and had similar symptoms.
If the pump is good, pressing the advance piston when idling (on lower drivers side) should make it run like crap. If there is no change the...
This is not mine. I just ran across it this morning. Its a nice rig if you have the money.

If you go this route, open the box as soon as you get it. I ordered one of these "Copper/Brass" ones from a local parts store a couple years ago. When I got it I stuck it on the shelf because the project it was needed for was not that far along. When I finally opened it I found that...
Your core is bad I guess. Any chance you could find another factory one with a good core?
I have an aluminum/ plastic one in my 94. I took the factory radiator out of my 94 and had it rodded and rebuilt and run it in my 87 that didn't have a salvagable core. The factory radiator does better...
I once got caught low on fuel in a bad part of Washington DC with my mother in law in tow. We found a gas station that didn't have diesel and I went in and bought all the ATF they had. Once my mother in law got over the shock, she was pretty happy that we were able to get out of town running...
There was a place in lawrencville GA that I used when I was in college in Athens. Unfortunately, I am older than you might think. I think it might have been this place http://www.laedfs.com/
I had elevated sodium in the only oil test I did with an IDI. I was told to look for trends. If you are worried, do it again and see if things change over time. That sounded like good advice, but I never did another oil sample so I can't say how it will work out for you. The truck I tested...
Recore will cost you an arm and a leg and both nuts.
I ended up with an aluminum radiator with plastic caps because I ordered an OE brass one listed in the Oreilly catalog. When it arrived I put it on the shelf in the box because I didn't have time to install it.
A year later I pulled it off...
Knock on wood I have never broken one of those hard lines. Take them loose from the frame clips so you have more room to bend them. I do think the o rings are standard. You will probably break a holding clip or two getting them off so pick up a pack of them. Dorman sells a bubble pack of them...
Half the FSV is always operating under negative pressure so it won't always weep when sucking air. I have never seen an FSV itself actually leak, its generally the oring quick fittings on the in and our ports.
Working on the FSV is messy. You will be covered in diesel when its done, but if you...
As other have said, its either your lift pump, or further back. Its not your IP.
The power boost you get just before it dies is air in the IP. That makes me doubt its your lift pump. When I had fuel delivery issues from my facet pump (I switched back to mechanical) It was a loss of power. The...
I welded the tine to a piece of plate steel notched just like the original handle. It bolts in place. I kept breaking handles because the latch itself was worn out. I ended up replacing it and the cable with a whole new assembly so I bet the plastic handle would now work fine again.
The inner fenders hold everything together. The only surprise I had was a pleasant one; namely that the core support can be replaced in the OBS trucks without breaking into the ac system. The condenser hoses go through the main opening for the radiator instead of through holes in the core support.
Just to be clear, I think everyone here is pointing you toward your axle ujoints not the ones in the front driveshaft. That is my vote from where its coming from as well. Hell my 2017 F250 does that when I leave the front hubs locked. I don't know why they don't move to cv joints on the front...
Dorman sells the bushings in a small bubble pack as well at most auto parts stores. After I broke a metal handle or two I made my own out of an old tedder tine. Problem fixed permanently.
Try having someone pull the handle on the inside while someone else pushes from the outside. It may have to be a swift sharp push (read flying kick to handle).
I did this once as well.
