It looks like it should be called a fuel pump lobe. I'm sure it's obsolete, but it would be easier to find with a part number. The one on my cam is toast. It looks like the pump arm was bent causing some abnormal wear.
Thanks
I haven't posted in quite a while, but I'm back on my engine overhaul this morning. I'm looking for some help. I need the part number or a source of the gear that goes on the camshaft to drive the mechanical fuel pump. Mine is in pretty bad shape I don't know the exact name so I posted a picture...
It's not a truck, but someone might be interested in this.

I'm glad it worked out for you. I made the same modification to my pump and found I was able to have full fuelling up to 3800 RPM. Previously I would begin defueling around 2800 and be in complete fuel cut by 3000. I also noticed better performance in all RPM ranges. I would have tried to answer...
I have thought about putting a coat of braze on the male and female sides and pressing them back together to increase the clearance, but have never tried it. I'm not sure that would be worth trying.
Seems to me you have lost electrical power. Battery cable issue or dead batteries? Make sure your battery cables are clean and tight. Charge or jump your batteries and see what happens then,
I hope to get back on my engine rebuild later in the summer. I might give one a try although the pump on that engine has less than 5k on it. In theory, it sounds like a good idea. Although more flow equals less time to cool down in the radiator?
IMHO, it was over-tightened or tightened without a backup wrench on the pump fitting. I believe the hardline is the line to the filter. If that is the case there would not be a lot of vibration, unless the filter housing is loose. under the circumstances, I would use a rubber fuel line using the...
I would say as long as you have both vehicles to compare things and to scavage parts you should be ok.
I would have a set of body mounts on hand. Energy Suspension makes a polyurethane set that is available with and without hardware.
Bouncing is not usually an alignment issue. Are you saying it started after repairs were made at a repair shop? If so, it sounds as if it was something caused during the repairs.
