    Floor mats

Anyone have any weather tech or "fitted" style floor mats that fit and conform to the front seats on brick nose or obs trucks? All the generic ones are bad in all the wrong places. Don't cover areas you want or too thick near the gas petal etc.

    New AC issue

Low pressure port on drier could have failed. Evaporator frosts over after its on for a bit and it stops pushing the air to you. Turn ac to "vent" to force it to shut off for a minute or two every 5 minutes and see if it works better or worse. Better and that switch on drier needs replaced...

    AC Experts, Weird Issue

It was idling at that point. I'm not going to promise the fan clutch is working properly but I believe it is and I also have a big electric helper fan on half the condenser. Previous truck had it on the trans cooler and I just moved it over to this truck to turn on from a relay when the ac is...

    AC Experts, Weird Issue

Yeah, I guess if I have issues again I should in theory see it there since the screen on the old tube wasn't broken. I almost wonder if some of the goop didn't come out when I pulled the old tube out and I effectively shoved it under the new orifice tube and it took some time to work it's way...

    AC Experts, Weird Issue

So this is actually in my 90 F150 with a straight six but it's the same components short of the compressor being a different type of mount so I'm asking here anyways as it should be the same if this was on an IDI. My one truck (Fred in sig) sits all winter, it was my grandpas truck and I won't...

    AC replacement

If you do get it stuck and your ready to replace the whole evaporator unit, blow compressed air in the other end of the evaporator and slowly heat the pipe its in with a propane torch evenly, I've had 2 get stuck and got both out this way though it's definitely a last resort.

    Tired Steering

Well I took it off and cleaned it out as best as I could. Seems like something had disintegrated inside, there was small black almost O ring looking pieces floating around. I cleaned it all out, put new fluid in it, and it actually is somewhat better. I'm not going to say it's 100% better but it...

    Tired Steering

The big truck seems to have some tired steering going on these days. (1990 F350 Quad Cab / 2wd). I know the belt isn't slipping, nothing is leaking, but the symptoms don't line up with anything I've dealt with before. It's fine if the truck is moving at anything more than like 1 mile an hour...

Infant car seats in these dinosaurs..

We do get to go home today if we want to later in the day, however we named him Liam haha.

Do you use a shoulder belt on the sides or the lap belt in the middle?

Infant car seats in these dinosaurs..

Anyone have any good experience with the newer style car seats with bases in these old trucks? Our son is being born this week one way or another [wife gets induced tonight] and though our two newer daily drivers have the mounting points for the little side tethers obviously my old crew cab does...

The Official LUK 07-225 SMF Clutch Kit & ZF S5-42/47 Rollover Noise Poll

Stops at higher rpm the lower the gear for me. 1500 rpm in first, at idle sounds like there are 12 extra gears bouncing. 1200 rpm in second but less exaggerated noise. 900 rpm in third lugging through a traffic light a little chatter but not super noticeable. Nothing in 4th or 5th.

    Power door locks

If you put the window down the whole way you can sometimes get needle nose pliers on the rod for the button and pull up while holding unlock. Helps to pull seal/trim for window off, just don't slip and smash the window.

    Power door locks

I've replaced all 4 on my quad cab, there are a few problems you can have. One is the knob that pops up in the door can get so bound up in the linkages that it's the reason the locks don't lock or unlock well. The other is the motors can be so seized up you can't force the linkages enough past...

For Sale: 1985 Centurion Explorer F250 Extended Cab

If I wasn't on the other side of the country I'd be interested. I'm sure I'd miss whatever vehicle the wife would make me get rid of, but I've always wanted a matching paint version of my 4 door IDI just like this with an extended cab and auto so the wife could drive it too if need be. Good luck.

    Oil level rising

All the way to being so full on hills it would sucking it through the intake in the valve covers and trying to run away while choking on its own fuel/ oil mix. Was 2 gallons of diesel in my oil here.

    1993 E 350 4x4 BallJoint - need help on parts

The axle locking nuts you took off with the special sockets.. if you can get new ones, spin the old ones back on the threads and hit them back and forth on both sides with a BIG hammer. It will shock the rust loose and it will pop that off. I dealt with the same thing, air chisels, heat, pb...

    1993 E 350 4x4 BallJoint - need help on parts

I've only ever ran into the six slot hub nut and the first four slot one on the bottom row. They aren't hard to get out, just sit everything down in the order you take it out. I swear the clips and retainers inside every ford axle I take apart are slightly different and it's easy to put things...

    Lets play guess that sound!

I can barely hear it. I'd vote exhaust leak, perhaps torque of engine twists it just enough to make the noise more pronounced and it goes away with less rpm? Could always try loosening each injector to see if one causes less chaos when not firing then the others, fuel knock can be more...

    Trailer Brake Controllers

What's the easiest way to add a decent one of these to a brick nose? I used to use my 6.9 for my towing as it had an old manual brake controller with a brake line into the cab for pressure. My 7.3 has a port on the rear bumper but it only has turn signals and lights wired in, no feed for the...

    Turbo oil lines once more.

I put a braided an line on mine from the block, that being said on my 6.9 I had a copper line into a T for years and never had an issue either.

    No start after filter changed.

If you have a mechanical lift pump the fuel level can "fall" down the steel hard line and take forever to pump back up. I've got a little bottle full of diesel and took the line off between filter and lift pump on side of engine and primed it to lessen cranking times after opening fuel systems.

New Clutch Doesn't Work *NEW ISSUE*

I really don't think it's rollover noise, that only happens lugging it in low rpm when the gears mesh. If it's idling in neutral you shouldn't hear much if any noise since there is no strain on the gears in the trans to have the noise echo through. My quad cab has some pretty rough rollover...

New Clutch Doesn't Work *NEW ISSUE*

Inspection cover still on? Mine made awful noises after converting to smf from dmf as it changed positions just enough where it was scratching the cover. Try and take it off on a dry day for kicks if it's still on there.

New Clutch Doesn't Work *NEW ISSUE*

Does it do the same noise in gear idling?
