    What's a fair price?

Damn 15k, that is steep! I am working with my dad right now to acquire an 85 6.9 4x4, single cab, C6 with under 100,000 miles for $3,000. It has no batteries and needs return lines and there is a crack in the rear cab window but has been a date farm truck its whole life so really no excessive...

    What's a fair price?

Hmm, I might be cheap and expect too much but I’m thinking 5-7k. How many miles? I’m thinking if it was a ranch truck you could be looking at under 140k?

    86 6.9l water pump

Yes sir. When my pump went out I posted on here about it and one of the members, I can’t remember who, recommended them. When I called the shop and asked about my pump the lady was so kind and helping that I was sold immediately. When the pump actually came I can see the craftsmanship right...

    86 6.9l water pump

Everything written above will definitely help you make this as painless as possible. I did mine less than a year ago and it actually wasn’t too bad. Once you get the fan out the way and definitely remember to put the sealant on those top two bolts. I’ll go ahead and recommend Flowkooler for the...

Wondering on Value of 1990 F250

Yeah if it’s 4x4, manual, and more than a single cab I would say you’ll get more cash for it. If you’re rocking any of those I’d say closer to the 4K mark is what I would ask. If the engine was doing better or the body was in a better condition I wouldn’t be surprised if you could get 5K.

    Road trip time

Hahah damn dog ended up walking through a pod of baby ticks in Oklahoma. We got in the truck and my wife started saying something about these little bugs on her. I of course said it was nothing don’t worry about it. But then I looked down on my pant legs and sure enough there was about 50 baby...

    Road trip time

Best of luck amigo! I think she’ll do just fine. I ran Jersey to Virginia Beach over the weekend and kept it around 65 most the way. Did the sample math with the tripometer and said I averaged 19 mpg. Kept it around 2300 rpms the whole way. Looks like we are getting a little rain possibly so...

So what did you do with your truck today?

Exactly. Who does that, and who buys an F100 that had a plow on it? I think @TNBrett nailed it. It’s kind of like when I was young and my friends would tell me the gf I had was toxic. But I wouldn’t listen a bit and still go with her until I ran all my credit cards up and finally realized the...

So what did you do with your truck today?

Lol well he kind of got thrown through the ringer and taken advantage of. It’s his first truck, he wanted a highboy but ended up with this 79 F100. He bought it out of Maryland and it had a plow attached: so yes, LOTS of rust :/ He paid 5K for it too… no brakes, sending unit was bad, fuel tank...

So what did you do with your truck today?

I wish I spent the day working on my truck. Instead I’m helping do a fuel tank and carburetor on a buddy's truck. Now he can help me do my fuel tank next time!

    86 F-250 2WD Rear Brakes

Well shoot, the master cylinder is fairly new, maybe 1.5 years on it. I’ll have to take a look now and see if the front calipers may be seized. New master cylinder isn’t a bad fix, I’d be more upset just because the damn thing isn’t old.

    86 F-250 2WD Rear Brakes

So I got to thinking about this all on my drive home today. When my brakes went soft the other week the pedal would go to the floor and I had “no” brakes. I got home and popped the hood, checked the master cylinder and found that the front, or smaller chamber, was bone dry. When I got the wheels...

    86 F-250 2WD Rear Brakes

Ended up seeing one at NAPA for $17. Seems like a good socket to have in case I ever need to service the axle shaft. Saw some YouTube videos where the person had gear oil leaking out all over the place and had to replace the hub bearings and stuff

    86 F-250 2WD Rear Brakes

Got the brakes put in rather easy. Definitely did not need to pull the axle out, I must have got something mixed up in the Haynes manual. -Flame Thr Feels good to have breaks again!

    86 F-250 2WD Rear Brakes

Axle code says 39, I hope it is the Sterling. Not needing a giant ass socket sounds great. After looking around last night I did find some info on working with a Sterling. Looks like that was common for the earlier model F250s? Thanks gents

    86 F-250 2WD Rear Brakes

Hey y’all, I was getting ready to do my rear drum brakes tomorrow and was looking through the Haynes manual and something caught my eye. It says in order to do the Heavy Duty rear brake shoes you have to remove the axle and wheel hub and drum assembly. I bought everything to do an overhaul back...

7.3 NA no start after arc

Sounds a lot like when I do projects I’m sure someone will chime in with more experience but might be a good idea to check and see if you are getting 12VDC to the glow plugs. A test light would work or meter. I think you would just put a lead on the negative cable or ground and then positive...
