Ran out just now to unload the walkbehind, swap it with the rider and take it to a property so Erica could mow.
Proceeded to drop one ramp and then had to man handle the walkbehind to get it all of the way to the ground. Tore the broken plastic tailgate protector all of the way off (been broken...
Years ago Apextrans had some type of aircraft stripper that he used on my dually's running boards. Nasty stuff but then pressure washed and used (I want to say) 3 different grades of polish on them with a 8" angle grinder. I know he is on FB if you wanted to ask him what it was. His fleet is too...
Agreed. At that point I would want it for target practice ... umm I mean stress relief.
We all have those days. Sometimes I have more than 30 of em in a month! Hind sight is 20/20
This sucks Mike!
I ran from Columbia, SC to Boiling Springs, SC with a push rod through the rocker cover towing a fiver. Not sure how much oil was pushed out of yours but these motors are pretty tough...to a point...
I know when I had the dually if I brought it to the full mark it would be at half way in less than 500 miles. Out of frustration I decided to not top it off. It stayed at the halfway mark till the oil change. From that time forward, I just used halfway as my "full" mark and until I got the pan...
Just some ramblings to give (my) insight on the rally.
Yes, it is very big as a Mid Atlantic group. Back in the day there was a group kind of spearheaded by Mel in south central PA. Brotherhood of Oil Burners (BOOB) that would get together in the area. Mel hosted the very first one and a few...
That was at the tow truck museum. You have no idea how much I miss that dually. What I though were issues with that truck are nothing compared to my current one. PA Dept Child Services said they would not force extradition from GA on a bench warrant but I was too afraid to find out and sold the...
I have told Mike about this but guess I will post it here also.
First and foremost I feel like I let Mike and Rob down. Erica and me had planned to be there early and stay late to assist along with coordinating a wine tasting tour. Unfortunately we have had to cancel going to the rally. Mike...
Just some little stuff - pass side A pillar trim, seat belts (that actually retract!) the plastic sleeves on the seat belt buckle side.
I think you have more value in it as a complete set then parting out what I need.
Two adults and one teen as of now. Doug will be working in the Poconos. If Nicole gets her job it may just be me.
One rally we bought a truck load of wood and had it delivered!
So with that primer you are taking it to bare metal? I really do not want to do that with my truck. Hell at the rate I'm going it won't start for another year!
Late posting but I made the reverse trip on the 15th. Using Southwest though! I work in eastern Philly area (Berwyn) and flew in to Portland and crossed the river to Vancouver. Lucky me I get to do it again in 2 weeks. Then off to San Jose end of May.
Good luck in your travels and best wishes...
I am late to the party. Nice score. I know we have bounced a few FB messages around about them. Don't fear not working with rusted metal... I can have my truck down to Laserjock Auto Body in about 25 minutes!
I have located a single stage paint I may run with. I'll start a thread and get the...
My plan is pinion seal, windshield, core support, injectors, returns, rear brakes, backup lights, turn signals and horn.
The way life is going the only truck I'll be taking to the rally is a GMC.
Not much to add but a few weeks ago I was talking to a carpenter (My IDI caught his eye) that has a 2500, high roof cargo but with a Dodge badge. Not sure of his year but he bought it new. He said the thing is flawless mechanically mid 100k (130 - 160) IIRC. His only complaint was rust - door...
