Yeah it starts every time but my concern has been that something is in the heads or the motor that doesn't need to be there like coolant like some other guys have said in this thread and I dont want to ruin the motor.
Exactly what the title says. Video attached. Any help would be appreciated. I've got two vacuum lines that got melted in a engine fire I'm about to replace if that would have anything to do with it. I figured it may be related since the power steering may rely on vacuum.
Its definitely not a connection or battery issue. I've checked all relative points and connections are tight. Plus the batteries crank my buddies F350 powerstroke no problem everyday
@Thewespaul is there anything else aside from coolant being in the heads thatll cause the motor to do what its doing in my video? It seems like it only does it the first time I crank it after it's sit for at least a few hours or day. I dont think it does when the motors at operating temp. I'll...
I've only drove it like 1000ft since putting the pump in and putting fresh oil in it so it's not blackened all the way I believe. But I never had anything like that before. Before the IP change it was just high clearer oil but now it seems fine. I need to drive it more but I gotta change two...
I will check the coolant after I make sure its topped off and look into pressure testing the system. I've not noticed anything on the oil dipstick after I changed my IP for fuel leaking into the oil and drove it to the store if that matters.
No It doesn't seem to happen every time. I tested that last night and It seems to do in the 1st time it cranks. I'll try it out again tonight but it seems like after you crank it it doesn't do it as badd and then stops doing it all together
I'm aware of that since I tried that and did research shortly thereafter. I was just putting that in as background information in case it might've has something to do with the starting turning the way it did someway somehow.
I posted a quick clip of what it does. I cant remember exactly but I'm pretty sure this started right after I tried to use starting fluid to get my engine to crank which caused a loud knock and popping (Lifter damaged possibly?) and or when my engine caught fire. Both were right around the same...
Would anyone know what part number to look up or what words to search at a parts store to pull up a CDR grommet for a 94 idi? I already checked the parts bin on this site and got a part number but the stores arent open and I couldnt find it on their website. If I have to order it online I will...
Yeah that's what I was so worried about. I think I got it lined up right. I looked up some pics even though I didnt get much. I lined up the hole with the screw with the broke off pin. And the sensor brackets lined up with the screws from the impression on the brackets from the washers from when...
I got one more question about this for yall. Am I to assume I'm supposed to just take this bar out and replace with screws or is there something I'm missing because my IP I'm replacing had screws and not this
