I get most of my parts from digikey and for prototyping most of it comes from old electronics. You should be able to find them on amazon and eBay also.
In my 87 I had put a obs speedo into it, had to cut up the speedo a bit and the cluster backing for clearance and use the obs clear lens for the button holes.
Me personally I would do the speedo swap as that would be easier and cheaper then ripping a trans apart.
From what I could tell doing my swap a few years back they are the same gas/diesel but they do change generation wise. My 87 ones wouldn’t fit properly on the 95.
I have an auto meter electric oil pressure gauge and it does that to at idle, it’s the gauge doing it on mine as I checked with a mechanical gauge and everything was fine (don’t remember what the psi was off hand). This is the crappy one wire sensor type of gauge also.
There is two types of shackles and two energy Suspension kits also, one has a molded in bushing and the other is a press in bushing, I’ve never seen the press in one myself. You have the molded in one which most guys burn out, myself I just bought new shackles as they are pretty cheap.
@Cubey Just a suggestion, RELAX! Your pushing yourself through a emotional rollercoaster with this e-pump swap.
Now I think your problem is the IP is pulling fuel out as your approaching the governors limit. Assuming tire size as 235/85/16, c6, 4.10 rear @ 70mph your engine will be reving at...
By any chance is it the bolt hole leaking and not the housing? It’s been a while since I did a t-stat on one of these engines but maybe someone put to long of a bolt in at one time and made the blind hole a through hole into the cooling system? Mite just need to put some thread sealer on that bolt?
I used a single din android unit that has a screen that can can be moved up/down/left/right, it sits far enough out to clear the dash.
I don’t have any good photos but here’s what I have.
That only applies for the 87-91 trucks and that will also make your trailer brakes do the same thing if you put the hazards on. 92 and up ford change the turn signal switch so the brake light switch is disconnected when the hazards are on which introduces another problem for 92-93 trucks where...
92+ trucks the TECA pulls out in the engine compartment, you may have to undo some of the inner fender to get it to clear. You could pull it from in the cab but you would have to pull the ebrake, steering column and the large aluminum support that holds all of that and the dash.
87-91 come out...
I do that with all the ford plugs that use round pins, you can solder your wire into the back of them and reuse the plugs, makes for cheap water proof plugs.
87 and up clusters do not use an ivr, all the gauges are fed from fuse 18, the circuit board just turns on the check engine light if the oil pressure gets too low or the engine temp goes to high, you can remove it and all you will loose is the check engine light.
A truck with an E4OD has the...
When the transmission goes into limp mode you will get 4th gear in D, 2nd gear in 2 and 1, reverse will still work and you will full line pressure so it will slam into gear.
The tach sensor feeds the TECA (trans computer) and the computer then relays the signal to your tachometer, if you hit...
I’m not sure that’s such a good idea putting the regulator after the filter, if your filter starts to plug you will never know and at some point the differential pressure across the filter will be high enough to push all the trash through the filter and now you have nothing to save the IP.
At...
Please stop making new threads on the same issue, it makes it really hard to help you as we have to keep looking to other threads to know what you have done.
Im not sure what diagram you have but the dual brake warning switch isn’t fed by fuse 18 in any diagrams I have.
I believe in your other...
