My stickers are gone. It says " void" where they were. Is that what happens when someone pulls them off?
I assume that the smaller 6.9 pump is enough for a N/A engine and swapping to the 7.3 pump would just make more smoke.
I have sprung a leak. I wanted to check the bolts but can't easily access the ones on the back. So since I hate working on cars I don't want to do this 2x. I have used Fel pro and Napa gaskets in the past on other cars with mixed results.
I was looking for a bricknose. Had to be a stickshift. All the ones I looked at were trashed. Found mine with 59000 miles on it and it happened to be a diesel. The previous owner had written milages on the air,fuel and oil filter so I knew they had been maintaining it.
The stock gauge in my 87 was an actual gauge. It moved with oil pressure. But since i had no idea what the pressure was I installed an aftermarket gauge.
Keep in mind that a diesel puts lots of black smoke past the rings and into the oil. It's normal for a diesel to have black oil. It does not mean that the oil is contaminated and needs to be changed.

It's getting hard to find good belts. I prefer Dayco. I ordered some a few weeks ago and they were made in China. Sent those back. I have had zero luck with Gates. The squeal ,stretch and flip off. I found some Goodyear ones on Rock auto.

That's smoking cheap! I work at a radiator shop in Hesperia,CA. We no longer dip them but we do rod them out. That's a $200+ rod out! $50 of it is just the cost of solder.
