Eacars- that is a pretty cool setup way heavier then I need for this project but still cool and interesting. Amazing they run it all with hydraulics. Must be a massive pump! Would like to see more of that shop, looks awesome!
PoodleHeadMike- I was thinking a smaller green house to start. 12ftx6ftx6ft(L x W x H, 72sqft). But I could have as big as 30x15x15(450sqft). But that would involve several hundred feet of extra plumbing to reach it and also electrical. Have to be in different locations. The Larger one would...
I see they have oil fired hot water heaters. Wonder if that could work on a lower output/demand boiler system. Looks like it can be different BTU outputs from the Bock manufacturer website.
Yah I think it would last a good while. Just need it for a few years anyways. I plan to put in a little metal shed. This would keep it out of the weather and rusting. I have seen a lot of burn barrels fail from ash and rain water corroding the bottoms out. I have several that lasted for years...
Well I have a free source for barrels and will be moving in a few years so it's will not be long term set up. Also there isn't that many oil boilers here on the west coast that I have seen on craigslist or marketplace. Other suggestion to where to look?
Also thinking the refractory will help...
Been thinking about building a greenhouse for some winter veggies and mushrooms. Need a way to heat it and maintain a good temperature through out the day or night. Needs to have a thermostat controlled heater and automatic window vent/fan. Trying to use stuff I already have I sketched this out...
My little pump has been doing awesome but slowed down to half what it was doing. First I thought it was failing, but found out it has a filter on it. Took it off and pushed some carb cleaner backflushing it and then some low air pressure from the air gun to push the carb cleaner through it...

Here is some second gen dodge manuals. Not what your looking for but might help
That is a good idea! 2in or 3/4 are both good. Are you going to make it self draining?
I have been thinking how simple it would be if it was not. I have a diy oil sucker jar thing for mower oil changes and it would be easy to use that. But it adds one more tool/step to the cleaning.
Thanks for the update. What flow rates are you shooting for?
I was thinking about building one and make it able to flow more. I think it's really comes done to motor size and clean side out pipe size. At least that is what I was seeing with my current fuge. Really limited by .5inch out.
I recirculated the marine diesel for 6 days. After the first day of centrifuging, I put inline a racor 1000 with 2micron filter and removed the centrifuge. Thought it would separate more of the water but the centrifuge was doing better. So I reconnected the centrifuge and ran both for 3 more...
Anyone of you wmo junkies around Portland, Oregon need or want some wmo? I have more then I can use and need to liquidate. I have a bunch that is blended but not processed.
Would like to see it go to a good home lol
Let me know by pm
Any updates? I have been running a mix without any gas in it and I think it smokes less. Still blue haze at idle but clean going down the road. Not sure if that is the though. I get a bunch of random stuff.
Well got another two batches done.
One batch first pass gravity took about 48hrs. Cleaning twice a day.
Recirculate fuging 85hrs(3.6days). Cleaning twice a day.
Last pass and into the final clean tote. I think that was about 20 ish hours. Did it over two days. Didn't get much sludge out...
Not sure if this is particularly unsafe or environmentally friendly but I feel it's better then taking it to the oil recycle or dumping in the dump. I have burned the stuff in soup can in wood stoves, super hot burn pile, and blended with some oil and taken to recyclers.
This took a while to...
I have read some people have glowplugs errode from wmo in idi's. I have had really good luck with my di motors so far. I like not having glow plugs to worry about. I have seen both work well on a variety of fuel blends.
I have wondered if gas/wmo blends smoke more then other blends. Anyone one...
Hmm Interesting. I have heard a bunch of people have the same result. No wvo and wmo mixed? It forms a lacquer or something and glues things in the injection system solid. Saw it on the interwebs. scary..
I am not familiar with your engine. Looked at some google images. It's an inline bosch...
We'll do the final fuging. Looks like the pump is doing more like 25ish gph. Pretty impressive little pump. Definitely quieter, cheaper, and simpler then my diaphragm pumps. Also got some nice barbed fitting for a few bucks and make it nice clean looking.
