Detroit 6V53 marine motor transmission swap

That's a very valid point. What would make the 6v53T marine engine different from a 6v53T truck engine? There is about a 100-150hp difference. I wonder how much hotter the marine engine does run if it's the same block and all.... These old Detroit's are hard to find information on. I also found...

Detroit 6V53 marine motor transmission swap

For a truck I imagine you need standard rotation? Found a marine Detroit that's rated for 400hp that I want to fit in a truck. Never-Have-I-Ether

    Detroit 6V-53 swap questions

I found some Detroit's south of Austin. Several V6s and Inline 4s. They are block cores and either N/A or the turbo is missing. I get more pictures Monday. If they are 53 series I'll pick them up for rebuild. I think I can get 3 cores for $500. Never-Have-I-Ether

    Jesus Freaks WMO thread!

Sarcasm? Your be quite surprised. Settling is the #1 thing you do processing WMO or WVO. Let the sludge settle to the bottom. I never pull oil from the bottom 6" of the barrel. Eventually I'll need to get to the bottom to showcase the gum and tar down there. Never-Have-I-Ether

Most inverted centrifuges we're originally designed for use on engines to significantly lengthen the lifespan of the oil. Never-Have-I-Ether

1989 7.3 idi vacuum system parts

Apparently the new vacuum pumps don't last from what I've heard. Bad enough to be replaced 4/5 times within a year or two. I saw one guy on FB rig an electric vacuum pump because he was tired of the one from the parts store. Never-Have-I-Ether

    Alternative Fuels: Product/Kit Recommendations

Yes, currently the website was planned on being opened last week. However a blessing from heaven came up, and I have a surprise coming that I should be able to reveal in the next week or so. I'll give you a hint, it's an existing business I'm speaking too;) Never-Have-I-Ether

My results for the day. If I flip the switch fast either way no issue. If I slowly push the switch to rear tank it blows. Perhaps I should just flip the switch fast and firm. Never-Have-I-Ether

    Jesus Freaks WMO thread!

Haha, I started out not using one. I'm not saying it's necessary, but compared to filters it's cheaper long term and more refined. For me it's the financial and micron rating, a win win in my opinion. Never-Have-I-Ether

I have a 1993, thanks for the year model clarification. I was gonna say what monkey wiring is this?o_O I cleaned my ground at the rear bumper and also cleaned the ground from the FSV. I had moved mine back to behind the shock for my Holley pump and filter bracket. Where the chassis harness...

Haha, still having issues with my selector. I hope this is the weekend I solve it. I know for certain my short is between the steering column and up. Did you say the switch is tied into the heater control panel under the radio? My plan is to re-run the POS NEG wire from the switch to the...
