Don’t know the part number but I was at the junk yard one day and took off the wiper arms from a 1994 f250 (which are the J hook style ) and stuck them on my 91 f350 so I could run newer style blades
Not a bad design, I like having the filter tucked away so that I have room to work on the rest of the motor since I have a snail that sits on top already.
@Daniel McCurdy
How much vacuum did you have once you applied the brake ? You say you changed the booster but is the vac pump still the same?
A good test is to have the truck on and apply the break for 30 seconds or more and see if the pedal falls to the floor if it does bad booster (test the...
EGTs / Coolant temp / Trans temp (Auto only) / oil pressure
Yes you need to run power to the gauges separate from tapping into the relay for your running lights
Yes you can but not required , I agree with @Nero , I replaced the camshaft and a mushroom lifter that wouldn’t come out the top and the roller bearing part lives in my oil pan now, did the front main seal at the same time...
Sounds like the controller is starting to go, CDD sells a nice manual glow plug switch kit for this type of headache
Also once your truck is up to operating temperature it shouldn’t need glow plugs to start up again,
I would try bending it and getting them to line up and clean the fitting and replace the o-ring with something that’s compatible with fuel.
Otherwise I would just make a new fitting and run hose clamps like you said
You need to run an extra ground strap from the new radiator to the truck frame ,
also how many rows doesn’t matter ,
the size of the tubes does and how
fast you can dissipate heat
yes LEDS work, I run firewires for 3 years now in my '91 bricknose, plug and play , they have heat sinks and fans but draw less volts then stock and are way brighter.

carb cleaner is only a temporary fix, IF your belt is under the correct amount of tension then look at the pulleys themselves. take the belt off and check each pulley to make sure is spins freely , sometimes its just a bad pulley on one of the accessories(alt/waterpump/AC/idler/tensioner. Mine...
Happy New Year OilBurners!
One month in the making, had a lifter fail and wouldn't come out the top of the motor so instead had to come out the camshaft hole. Here are some pics of the adventure. Runs again now but IM going to start looking for another motor to rebuild because this one is tired...
2wd rt?
Your talking about the bushing that the axle beams pivot on? if you have the tools to do it yes its a 3/10 for difficulty, I had a hard time lining everything back up to bolt together (took me 4 hours). A impact and a second set of hands will cut that time in half.
Good info here , don’t waist your money on a FSS from Ford (350$) like I did,
Better off fixing the one you have or converting to e-pump setup and run a 38 gallon rear tank , then you don’t have to worry about the switch on the dash either and can eliminate the mechanical fuel pump as well...
(Excluding fan choice )
Yes copper trumps aluminum in heat transfer in element form .... but you have only scratched the surface between the two different styles of radiators
The oem style radiator is braised to the matting metal (brass ) which slows down your cooling capacity at the braised...
Does anyone run anything else besides stock lifters on your idit?
Found some power stroke lifters with guides for my application or just get some motor craft turbo lifters for my setup .
I broke a lifter and I’m tearing the motor down to the intake manifold to get to them. I believe they are...
My truck started randomly misfiring today
1. Fuel volume test passed
2. Fuel pressure failed
3. Replaced the pump and the line thinking it was the diaphragm
4. Cracked injector lines and they all have fuel
5. Going to do a compression test next
6. Considering going with a e-pump if this...
Cooling capacity update
A. Got back from a trip to Utah but the fan clutch wouldn’t engage so I overheated on the long grades on the 93.
B. Took it out and tested it with boiling water and a torch and it seemed to lock up.
1. Next step , I Stuck a aluminum radiator in and will see if...
Sounds like your clutch is going bad, have you tried doing double/multiple pumps of the clutch pedal to see if it will shift in/out of reverse or when it gets stuck in first? Re-bleed the system and see if your situation gets better or worse, if you have a leak at the master or the slave...
@andrewbourdeaux
Check the connecting ends at alternator for good contact , the follow the wiring the other direction to make sure they have good solid contact. Also take the belt off and spin the pulley , how much resistance are you getting ?
My light came on/off rt before my alternator...
