    Wanted: 80-65 F250 reg cab, 4x4.

You ain't kidding about my diesel choice. What is the GVWR difference between the F-250 & the F-350?

    Wanted: 80-65 F250 reg cab, 4x4.

It would be a trail rig, but I need it to be 'roadable', so my weights are still a concern. Basically, I'm looking for a STOUT truck to start with, put something like a Dana 60 or 70,maybe 80 under it front and rear, lump a big Ford diesel into it, run something like a ZF stick, into an Atlas2...

    Wanted: 80-65 F250 reg cab, 4x4.

@Jhenegh I'm looking for the extra GVWR that the F-350 has over the F-250. @ Waystro, I'm planning to build a pretty bad@$$ 'trail rig', the F-350 would allow me to build with heavier components, making this tougher. @ Towcat Nice looking truck, but I'm looking more for the...

    Wanted: 80-65 F250 reg cab, 4x4.

Current update, I realized the F-250 might be too small for my needs, anyone out there have an F-350 Reg cab Long Box, preferably in Single rear wheels? Same era though, stick or auto, gas or diesel?

what are these between my duals?

Thanks for that pic Towcat, I kinda always thought the wheel arches on the duallys was just kinda 'attached-to' the fenders, I didn't realize there was SPECIFIC fenders for them, or that they were 'extensively modified'. :thanks:

Making the third door an option on an OBS SCLB

Well, I'd rather aim high and not have the guy pissed at me and me having to 'eat' whatever 'unexpected' costs. I've done enough building and rebuilding crap to ALWAYS factor-in the 'unexpected costs'. Besides, I'd have to go all the way to Arkansas, then do it, I was figuring I'd be...

    Project Big Red

Good job on the progress and it's looking great. If you're worried about scratching your newly painted parts, use masking, either masking tape in a couple layers on the parts edges, 'moving blankets' or something like...

    aftermarket fuel level gauge

There are also sources like JCWhitney, though they are moving in the 'specific vehicle fitment' route, which is moving away from us with the ability to see a 'universal' part and envision making it work for our project. Almost any place that sells gauges, whether they made them or not should...

Babe the Blue Ox: progress thread

Darn, your shop had 'character' and 'charm' now it's kinda 'generic', but I'm sure it's an improvement worth making-energy-efficiency, less leaks in the roof, etc. :dunno

    DT360: The beginning

Never really had any real problems, the top speed kinda sucked when I had to drive in the 70MPH Interstate, but she apparently had enough power to spin both duals in the rear when on fresh asphalt, so.... :dunno I actually LOVED that bus, it would do ALMOST anything I wanted her to, BUT go...

    Front filler neck

Isn't the rubber replaceable? I've never seen one at the end of a filler down-tube that wasn't replaceable. Maybe look at someplace like LMC or one of the other FINE vendors out there. :dunno I've never worked on or really looked at the ones on my truck, so I wasn't sure where he/you...

Blower motor air flow 92-97 vs 87-91

Maybe the motors are different, operating at different speeds. I'd probably put my money on the squirrel cage being somewhat different, as I've had to replace a squirrel cage on my parent's Astro and the replacement steel unit seemed to blow differently than the old, cheap plastic one did. :dunno

    DT360: The beginning

It's nice to see someone working to develop the power potential of these DT360's. I formerly drove a bus that ran the DT360 with a 6-speed stick, that thing NEVER ran over 2,900-3,000, even going downhill with tailwind, 59 MPH top speed. ;Sweet
