Archive.org lets you borrow the Haynes Techbook Diesel engine repair manual in encrypted PDF format for free, up to 14 days:

It's an online library check-out basically. You have to install an Adobe program, but it's available free for Windows, Mac, Android and iPhone:
https://www.adobe.com/solutions/ebook/digital-editions/download.html
You also need to have or create a free Adobe ID and login to the program/app with it. (i think it's required but I'm not sure)
Admittedly, it's really complicated to initially set up and get, because the book itself downloads in the program from clicking a link. On Win10/Chrome, it downloads a tiny file, which you then open and it directs the Adobe app to download the book. That's after downloading the program, installing it, registering, confirming your email, and logging in through the program.
It covers IDIs, 7.3 PSD, and some GM diesels. The IDI section starts on page 203. (Ctrl+Shift+P to bring up "go to page", in Windows)
You can't print it, only view (unless you take screenshots and print those, but don't do that, wink wink, nudge nudge).
For somebody who doesn't want to buy the book, or wants to check it out before buying, it's not bad if you have the time to sit down and get the crap set up to view it. But then you can borrow other e-books the same way online. So yeah.
