Help, truck stranded...wont start (firewall issue)
you have to put battery power to the small post on the solenoid, then it will crnak no matter what is in the way of the truck so keep it out of gear- smoking89IDI

So I guess when I fill up the rear I pay more for past the F and when I fill up the front I pay less for never reacing the F, I guess I break even then :D- smoking89IDI

Ok i'll hold off on the oil test, I did have a magnetic drain plug put in when it was changed as well so that should help a bit, what are the bearings on these made out of, are they steel backed then aluminium with a tin/lead babbit coating?- smoking89IDI

Never thought of that, the mech pump is also original, how do I check the eccentric, it should just look like a cam lobe correct? I do have a borescope I bought at work to look in the engine if need be, its one of the ones with a vid screen so no trying to look in an eyepiece. The good thing...- smoking89IDI

Engine has never been opened, 221,900 miles on all original parts save for the injectors, I can have my work test the oil, I work at a Cat dealer and we have an oil lab. Well I just changed the oil in the truck, had auto-rx in it and that has done great so far my problem lies with what was in the filter. FIRE IN THE HOLE...!
Also whenI changed my injectors it took it about 4 DAYS to self purge the air out of the system, no matter how much I bled the injectors it would still thump and miss a bit at idle, after a couple days and bumping my idle up to 800 to keep the belts from slapping all the air was purged. injector pumps are they progressive
Ditto, I cranked my fuel screw way up and am getting better mileage and more turbo boost a bit sooner but only if I don't hot rod it. You will hate it if you turn down the pump, it will be like there is no turbo at all, remember the turbo is spun by HOT exhaust gases and when you turn down the...- smoking89IDI

Truck accelerates like a rocket just before running out of fuel
IIRC the pumps timing is affected by inlet fuel pressure, when you run out pressure drops and timing advances.- smoking89IDI

I love my truck
I just started my truck today, it has sat since Sep 28 without being moved or started because I did the brakes and found that the pads (three different sets!) were too thick for my rotors so I just hammered the calipers on (then found out it was WAY too tight and got real hot) and let it sit...- smoking89IDI

I think i have a problem, ZF related
Just take a jumper from the pos side of the starter relay on the fender to the little post on the front of the relay with the wire on it when it is OUT OF GEAR!!! It will start then bypassing every saftey feature on the truck.- smoking89IDI

My trucks accel run.
