    Howdy aka Ratfink

Depending on the election, bug out might mean 3/4" plywood over the side windows (rolled down of course) and 1/2" LEXAN over the windshield. They can't drag you out without unlocking the doors!! Be safe.

    Traded in 1991 F250

Nice looking truck but LOL their ad does not even say "diesel". At least some looking for clean PU will not be aware Ford 7.3 is diesel.

    In case of EMP

Seems more hidden way to prevent running is hidden NC solenoid valve in fuel return line wired to something weird (cig lighter?). Will start for couple seconds and die, over and over again. Also faster to stop runaway than going for manual shutoff. More in store for Teddy but window riot...

So what did you do with your truck today?

Measured all the windows to make shutters for the upcoming "unpleasantness". Should be vandal proof in a crowd when done (pics then). Estimate about $300 including windshield.

    Brake woes

Actually, BITOD, in a galaxy far away, I remember grinding the shoes to match the reground drums, on cars. Almost no one grinds drums anymore so linings probably match stock drum diameter and need some time to wear in. Does not seem like this would cause grabbing but???

    Brake woes

Wear pattern sounds like shoes not same "diameter" as drums. Top of front shoe wears more moving forward, etc. Check by placing shoe in drum. JMTCW

    Brake woes

Check RABS Delete thread for parts from Advance Auto and hose from Amazon that fit a 94 F350. Total about $20 and no pipe threads or searching thru truck graveyards. YMMV

    Changing Our Own Tires

Just a quick question/comment. Do we mostly take tire changing to a shop because it's too hard to loosen lug nuts or wrangle tire/wheel or ? If lug nuts too tight couple fixes. 1. The planetary gear torque multiplier with 1/2" drive input/17,19,21mm output with 18:1 multiplier so 10 in...

    93 E350 7.3 idi battery killer

Regardless of size, NEVER, parallel different amp hour or chemistry batteries if you want long life from them. Not done anywhere else by EV vehicles, drones, battle bots, boats, planes, off grid, etc. Even if battery connections balanced, the smaller one will charge and discharge faster with...

    Battery cables

Loads off a battery BANK, if balanced, much better than off A battery of a bank. Common distribution point ok for rest of small loads but starter current should not have to flow thru frame and engine.

    AIR LEAK DIAGNOSIS

Second link goes to same place as first- I READ IT. Just seems doesn't cover all the leaks and how they affect starting but oh well, wth, don't want a p99809 contest.
