Have a short somewhere, losing power to FSS
Bought an 04 6.0 one ton from a guy and it had the same kinds of issues you are having. He took it back and forth to the Ford House for 2 years. Exhaust Question
I put a Banks Monster Exhaust on my 05 and I love it. Not noisy, loud or obnoxious and zero "drone" even when towing. I need some info.
I get rocks in wheat fields all the time. It will scare the crap out of you when it squeals. Only once did I have to pull the wheel to get it out. Every other time it came out on it's own. Make sure you didn't get into any baling wire, barbed wire or anything like that.- pfarmer

2004 6.0 Coolant Burning
I just went through this. I replaced the oil cooler, egr cooler, egr valve (4th time) and the fan clutch at 215,000 miles; in September 2010.
