I've been looking for some 'new' crossmember for my truck 1986 f250, I need them from the cab mount back. I'm thinking the only option I have is to find a good donor which I live In the rust belt 'good luck', does the cross member off of a 2000ish f-150 will they fit on our trucks? or even the...- paulzx

Biggest tires '80-'86 F-350 D60?
I've got 35 12.5 x 16.5 on stock suspension 86 f-350 and they only reason they rub cause I have the ole pepere style running boards, the aluminum ones from 1986. they rub those on turns once in awhile- paulzx

7.3 with c6 questions
your pics should look like mine, that is the vrv to the right, with the 2 vacuum lines attached. the second pic shows it from the side with the adjustment. you might be better off scouring the junk yard for a vrv and the parts for it to make it work, you might luck out with a good one. if my...- paulzx

7.3 with c6 questions
my truck when I bought it it shifter really hard, lived with it for about a year, then decided to buy a new vrv vavle, and the truck shifted just like a Cadillac. I tried to adjust it to each extreme and there was no change, so I just decided to change it.. problem solved- paulzx

That Time of the Year Again: I Think It's Battery Time
batteries do fit in bull nose, that is what's in my truck, my p/s battery tray rotted out so used a battery tray off of a 94 truck which is a tad higher and it worked awesome. drop in adj hold downs and bolt it down.- paulzx

Power is Power, Right?
I love that engine, I had one in a 1990 f150.... not fast but it pulled good. one way to look at it is that the i6 made in 1990 265 ftlb at 2000 rpm and the 302 made roughly 270 ftlb at 2400 rpm. for something that everybody snubs there nose too, it can hold it's own then some. and built...- paulzx

Won't start - week batteries
on another note, I've also had battery trouble also would only get 3 years on set of battery's, the group 78 if that makes sense. Canadian tire top of the line eliminator's to boot, that is another reason why switch to group 31, easy to get, build for heavy duty application (highway tractor)...- paulzx

Won't start - week batteries
alternator will cause a voltage drain if the diode's are tired, leave it connected over night measure the voltage then doo the same test but disconnect the alternator. it's a slow painfull draw that can run you mad for few days... as the battery, you can put the one is question on charge...- paulzx

that's a good name for the old truck 'hans solo' and that truck lived it's whole life in the rust belt, northern Ontario.
