Replaced ip gear cover hard starts and hazing
I lined all the marks as shown in this website https://www.nickpisca.com/diesel/engine/aligning-the-ip-timing-camshaft-and-crankshaft-gears-on-a-6-9-7-3-idi-engine/ so I don't think it's 180 out but definitely possible that I didn't get the ip gear in the right spot when reinstalling the ip...- Mastermarsh

Replaced ip gear cover hard starts and hazing
Very little I watched a couple videos on it seemed fairly simple and straight forward but I was mainly wondering if it would even run that far out but I think I've got the answers I was looking for I'm going to pull the front cover back off and recheck the marks- Mastermarsh

Replaced ip gear cover hard starts and hazing
Replaced ip cover and not sure if the gear is off a tooth or the pump is out of time I have a dti tech time 3300 unit and it was showing crazy numbers like 30° btdc and hard starts and smokes like a freight train gets better as it warms up but doesn't go away seems to have decent throttle...- Mastermarsh
