Sounds like idle romp. Do you have a scanner? It will help to see the problem. If not. Unplug the EOT before the cold start. See if the romp changes. Also check the IPR connection. (corrode/oil). Bill- MADVAN

Truck down need help...
WTS light come on? With those codes i would check VC connectors. (outside and inside). Possible burned connector. Bill- MADVAN

Hard Start...MAP sensor???
Doubt the Mapp thing. If the hard start is cold and Hot. I would scan to see IPR duty cycle. If hard start is cold. Look into the GP system. Bill- MADVAN

weird scenes inside the MAP sensor
Maybe the psi is input signal and the HZ would be the output side of the mapp. It converts psi to HZ. Or bad wire back to pcm (hz sig out). Sounds like pcm is useing limp for the signal. Just a wag. Bill- MADVAN

exhaust housing
The one i have is from Garrett 1.00AR. Banks has them but wants way to much for them!!!. I did a search on the net for turbo repair kits ect. I paid 150.00 for it while banks wanted 400.00 for the same house. I have seen them on e-bay. As far as the .84ar they seem to work well in the wastegated...- MADVAN

exhaust housing
In 97 stock was a 1.15ar non waste gate. I run 1.00ar. Has quicker spool with chip. Boost starts to build off idle. I would like to try the .84ar but i think it would start to build to much exhaust pressure at high rpm. BILL- MADVAN

Coolant Question

FPR shimming
From what i have found. E-series vans, Cal F-series, All have split shot inj with higher pressure reg. So if you have either you allready have the mod. I would say the mod is safe (it comes from the factory). Only diff is you will use mod with single shot inj. BILL- MADVAN
