Man that system sounded great but it is no longer in the truck. I sold the truck to my dad who didn't want it in there so I took it out. Then I got the truck back and I I don't want to give up the last spot of seat adjustment for a sound system.- larson

Air filter lid
Because after i removed it years ago now it is drastically louder in the cab when driving at 75-80 mph down the highway. I just want it quieter that's all.- larson

Water pump install advice needed sooner than later.
Well i was worried about it coming off after reading about the whole wp swap. I just sold the truck to my dad so he has a pickup to use to when ever he needs. Unfortunately i will always be the mechanic when it needs work done. But thanks for everyone's help.- larson

Water pump install advice needed sooner than later.
The pump i bought only came with 2 new short bolts. Thats why i opted out on using them. They were identical to the other short oem bolts. Everything felt great when i tightened all of them down. I made a template to place the bolts as i removed them so they went back into the same location. I...- larson

Why do i jave to use the 2 new bolts that came with it? Its already installed with the oem bolts all covered in sealant. I can swap them out no big deal.- larson

Water pump install advice needed sooner than later.
Hey guys im ready to install my new water pump. Surfaces are all super clean. The pump came with a new paper gasket. Is that gasket enough alone or should i add any rtv to it before i install? I know to use thread sealant on the bolts Etc.- larson

Ok so i just advanced my ip 2-3 hell maybe 4 dimes width to see if it would help with throttle response at mid range rpm. It seemed to help a little but only time will tell. It definitely has more clatter when cold and when given throttle on the road you can hear more diesel sound if that makes...- larson

Hey guys been a while since iv been on here. My ac compressor blew a seal about 3 yrs ago and leaked out all the oil. Im ready to get the ac fixed but i have the age old question of do i really have to replace all the damn components to the system? Can i just swap out the compressor and have it...- larson

Well mine didnt look that bad at all. It was a lot more clear gel looking with rust red at the bottom but who knows what the time difference was between my truck and yours. As far as the doesel fuel goes its just regular north Texas summer fuel hell out here summer fuel is winter fuel also lol...- larson

No pics i cleaned the bottom off with break cleaner let it dry then installed filled with fuel cleaner to soak the ip.- larson

Alright guys i got 1 question and 1 problem. Question is how long to run engine to soak ip with cleaner or atf? I let mine run until idle smoothed out from air in lines.(i still run the mechanical lift pump) Problem is when i took the bottom cap off of my old fuel filter it was full of gel like...- larson
