    I'm dying to know, did it turn out to be the IP? or the starter? I'm having a similar problem and I just started testing the IP, because I never suspected it, being only about 10k miles on a new IP. My starter is old though.

    I have a stupid question.( I probably have to make another long tow before installing a pyro): When do egt's rise the most, lugging up a hill as the rpm's drop , or winding it up, lower gears, up a tough grade?

    On a naturally aspirated stock tuned ip, is using a pyro necessary while towing? I was under the impression the turbo created the hi temps. I don't tow over 7500# with my na stock setup. But I don't have a pyro.
