So if the HP oil lines in the head for triggering the injectors were no longer used there would still be a problem keeping oil out of the water. Thanks for the heads up. I still have to get my hands in the motor I have to dummy up on.

I do maintain it. It's just tired. It has 397K on the clicker and they were HARD miles from the looks of the things. The PO used it for a hotshot hauler. As for learning how to work on it, that is another thing. I don't want to HAVE to work on it all the time. A scanner to do contribution...

:rotflmao:rotflmao:rotflmao:rotflmao I have never had a truck or any other vehicle that I couldn't reasonably work on. My old truck was a non turbo IDI that got 17 mpg all the time. This one gets 12 on a good day. If I tow with it, 8. If a pump went out on the side of the road with the...

    New build ideas

Hey all, I have been lurking around the web and found where people have put a mechanical pumps on a PS and made good power. (JUST TO MAKE IT CLEAR). I am not looking to make a pulling truck or a dyno monster! Just a good reliable truck without all the electronics. I just replaced the...

    Smoke But No Fire

Perhaps the starter is not twisting it over fast enough? I had that happen to me before.

    Help I NEED a PCM

I did replace the injectors on 3 and 5, I was unsure of the quality of the parts when I got them since they were from a salvage yard. I will get the #5 replaced and see what that does.

    Help I NEED a PCM

When I put the injectors in #3 & #5 I was kinda hoping that they would work. I plan on getting a complete set later. But for now I just need to get the stumble out. What did you say about the PCM fuse?

    Help I NEED a PCM

I got my project up and on the road but it has quite a stumble in it. It is most apparent after it gets warm. It acts as if the IDM is being shut off momentarily and in high gear it is pretty rough. I had my neighbor's scanner and pulled a 603 code while it was running. "0603 PCED...

    Wow! It works

Hey all, Just a Pic to show off all the hours of detailing to the interior of my project. I have discovered a product that works really good. It's called Super Protectant by Turtle Wax Co. I normally don't plug stuff but for trucks such as this I was impressed by just how well it worked. The...

    #2 Relay is clicking fast.

Correction, I didn't tighten the ground post enough on the rad. support beside the drivers side battery. The relay was getting enough power to click but not enough to stay lit. Just a FYI for the next guy.
