The 4x4 lockout does not lockout 4x4 it locks out overdrive. I would blow out the connector make sure there is not some crud causing it to trip. Check the other unused connections also. The red light should come on regardless of speed sensor, it is the auto overdrive indicator. What happens...

    GEAR VENDORS TROUBLESHOOING HELP NEEDED

Do you have a 4wd lockout connected? If a switch is flipped there will be an indicator on the control box. Flip the dash switch on and off see if there are changes on the control box, do the same for the foot switch and 4wd lockout. If there is no indication on the control box when flipping a...

Thumbs up for 7lb radiator cap!

Two fold reason for high pressure caps. 1. Higher boiling point. 2. Helps reduce cavitation.

Not to beat a dead horse..

Was not my choice of waterpumps, but rather the option I had without ordering one. I am really tempted to replace it with a flowkooler, if they tell me where the components are sourced.

Not to beat a dead horse..

Ideally it would be great if a rebuilt kit was available. No idea where the bearing and seal are being sourced from in replacement waterpumps. I ended up with a driveworks from carquest only to be disappointed with made in china on the box. The driveworks replaced an orielly's pump that...

    Windshield sealant

I think every member is guilty of this at one time or another. Just remember nothing is as permanent as a temporary repair. Also everone here is probably guilty of.

    Windshield sealant

Permatex self wicking silicon probably the best but still a crapshot. The urethane seams to resist all forms of sealant was cured.

How slow on a 10mi long 6% grade?

RPM is your friend. The more rpm the more air moves through the cylinders, more air equates to lower egt. Notice the lack of fuel used in the above.

255 80 17. Yeah thought about it. I liked running 255 85 16 but cannot justify the price for good ones that run smooth.

D50 bucks and hops when turning in 4x4, but I'm running it as a FWD, what gives?

When not in gear the output on the transmission is not being forced to run at a constant rpm from the engine. The transmission output can know speed up and slow down as it is driven by the front end, although this could still produce some vibration and weird sounds from the driveline banging...

D50 bucks and hops when turning in 4x4, but I'm running it as a FWD, what gives?

U joints are not constant velocity joints they need to operated in pairs to cancel out the elliptical rotation. When turning the ujoint are at a angle and the wheel is wanting to speed up and slow down twice per revolution.
