Damn, this **** is expensive and I need to rework all the seals for all the windows and replace the windshield cookoo Good thing she's been paid for 20 years ago ;) I guess I just need to start buying the pieces parts as I can afford them and stockpile them until I have everything then do the...
This may not be your problem but I went through this over the winter/spring and for me it ended up being a weak starter. I did have an glow plug issue [plugs and wiring, fixed while troubleshooting] but still had a hard time cranking when cold, thought it was weak batteries so invested in new...
Fixed leaking return line, use the spring clamps they work better and do not damage the nipples like pipe clamps. Then went and picked up about a 1 ton of pavers [free] from someone redoing their patio, now I have material for some projects. Had two guys offer to buy the beast, one at the...
Started tearing apart the 2 passenger side doors. Front window regulator slipping and rear door's lock solenoid down for the count. Parts ordered just getting ready for the install.
I like the idea a lot, given the current height of my truck and the fact it sees little offroad beyond dirt roads and farm trails. Clearance loss would be not much more then I'd lose with running boards. I've been combing the interwebs for other examples but can not find anything like this, so...
My 1993 SRW F350 had and still has tapered nuts [without washer] 7/8" on 9/16"-18 studs. I happen to be getting ready to order new ones that are black vs. chrome to go with my new blacked out wheels.
Replaced broken and deteriorated clearance lights with Smoked Lens and LED Bulbs. Then replaced the 35" TSL Thornbirds on 16.5" tires and wheels with Toyo M608Z 265/70R19.5 on Vision Heavy Hauler 81 [Black] wheels. I could not be happier with my wheel and tire replacement, these Toyos are way...
Replaced dead starter in my 1993 F350 XLT Crew Cab SRW w/7.3L IDI, while at it went ahead and tested the block heater that turned out to be good and ran a new power cord up to the grill.
Had terrible starting issues this winter and finally the starter died. After reading a lot of...
It would be a 5" lift [shackle reversal + 2.5"lift] in the front and 2.5" in the rear. You can combine shackle reversals and lift kits just have to keep in mind the shackle reversal only lifts the front end so you have to modify the lift for the rear end. I'm planning on adding 1.5-2.5 inches...
You can also improve your ride by reversing the shackles on the front end. By moving them to the back side of your springs it will smooth out how the suspension responds to potholes, speedbumps...etc.
Here is a link to Off Road Unlimited's kit to give you an idea...
As I thought, I understood it, that our IDIs tend to get richer in air/fuel mix the closer we get to WOT and that a good portion of EGT is caused by unburnt fuel in the exhaust. I would have thought adding propane that is supposed to help with more complete burns that EGT would go down. Am I...
I also understand that propane decreases EGT when used. Can anyone verify that and does anyone have direct experience with using Propane on an IDI engine be it turbo or non-turbo? Also of the systems that are out there what is considered a good conversion setup? I know I could build one from...
