nevermind checked the valves and everything works great, possibly a leak at the injector's copper seal or even air intrusion still? this one has me stumped bad- clackmaster

what do you all think about a bad or lazyly opening intake valve, you know causing the grey smoke and lack of air to compress and in turn causing a no fire or weak fire situation?- clackmaster

How many miles on your 6.5?
my 98 has 320 000 km, with one ip due to pmd failure in 99, one lp a few moths ago, one set of injectors and gps, and its the original motor and trans, t case and diffs which seems to be rare around here, and the old girl is still on full sythetics and does not eat or drip a dot of engine oil...- clackmaster

i bought an 88 7.3 na, it has a newer motor put in just a little over 40 000km ago, its suppose to be an updated block and new everything else, including pump and injectors. the kicker to this story is the truck was parked for eight years. this is where i come in. i bought it as a work truck/...- clackmaster
