Move location for transmission gauge sender?
Yeah this temp probe is on the drivers side as well. But those other threaded holes I find around the transmission could be other ports I could use then? Just as simple as screwing it into one of those and then plugging up the current port with something?- CampulanceMan

I installed a Hypermax Turbo on my '93 F350 a couple of years ago and one of the downpipes comes so close to the transmission that I had to remove the transmission temp sender from the E40D transmission because it wouldn't fit. Other than being white plastic instead of black on the pin-side, that's what it looks like. Doesn't that line up with what you stated though? Because mine is an Aero so it is the 5 pin.- CampulanceMan

When I turn the key in my '93 7.3 IDI when it's cold/cool outside, my horn blares non stop unless I pull the 5 pin relay that controls the horn out. I've been looking for a replacement for this relay and am having a hard time - either everything is used on eBay (which I would prefer to avoid) or...- CampulanceMan

Ok I pulled the headlight switch half expecting it to be mostly a melted plastic mess, but it actually looks really good, at least for it's age. It sounds like I should probably replace it anyway though? Sounds like my next move is to check a bunch of grounds too...I'm such a newby, are there...- CampulanceMan

Thanks guys, the truck has LED marker lights and aftermarket projector style headlights. I don't see any obviously exposed/damaged wires under the hood. For the headlight switch - would that be in the dash or under the hood?- CampulanceMan

The weirdest thing started happening to my converted ambulance last weekend. When the sun went down I turned on the headlights on the highway and immediately the truck downshifted out of overdrive, only the right headlight would turn on and some of the gauges on the instrument cluster would...- CampulanceMan

Temp sender replacement
So I installed a turbo (Hypermax) on my '93 7.3 IDI and that's working pretty well (need to adjust it a little because I'm only getting up to 7 psi of boost, but for now that's ok) but since I installed it I've always had the Engine Temp light turned on on my dash.
