93 7.3 idi e40d code 99
My trans is still acting up a little bit now it quick shifts from first to second with OD light blinking after second light goes out and shifts normal. I can feel TC lockup and drives great until when stopped it quick shifts again and light blinks. I pulled codes and am getting a code 99...- Bowhunter301

I reset codes and ran the truck around a little bit this morning checked codes again and its continuously flashing code 12 from what I understand that's a good system check am I right?- Bowhunter301

So I am pretty sure I have it figured out I found a few bad wires going to the fuel pump. I am off to autozone to pick up a new pump should be good to go. Thanks again your guys assistance and patience I am learning a ton about these 6.5's and their quirks I will let you know for sure if it runs- Bowhunter301

I had replaced the pedal position sensor about 2 months ago because there was a time it would idle but had no throttle response that seemed to fix it but I may have gotten a bad one. I just put the old one back in to see if it would at least start and idle with no luck. Do you think it could be...- Bowhunter301

Well I installed a crank position sensor just because it was cheap enough and I have had issues with other trucks and that was the problem but nothing. it does have the pmd relocation under the front bumper and still has the one on the side of the pump I may unhook it and plug the one on the...- Bowhunter301

I ran into a store yesterday left the truck running when I came out it had stalled now it just cranks and doesn't even try to fire. I pulled the codes they are 23,29,33,63,73,93. I am thinking crankshaft position sensor but don't think I got a code really mentioning that. It was just weird...- Bowhunter301

Picked up a 1500 with a 6.5 turbo diesel
Thanks! I wasn't real sure what it was I don't know much about these motors but its clean and runs well. I actually bought it for my wife but she says she wants a suv so I'm not complaining I am gonna keep it and pull my F350 off the road and build it.Thats pretty cool they put these diesels in...- Bowhunter301

Picked up a 1500 with a 6.5 turbo diesel
I am pretty excited I picked up this 1500 with a 6.5. I didn't know they made a half ton with a diesel. It has 194000 and is pretty clean and runs awesome. 93 7.3 idi e40d randomly kicks down to passing gear
The OD light isn't flashing and the convereter has about 10,000 miles on it, I havnt noticed any flicker in the speedo or tach but the truck does rev when it happens. could it be my FIPL? closed throttle its measuring 1.21 and WOT it measure 3.8 I believe its supposed to be 4.5 at WOT- Bowhunter301
